I've been trying to read this whole thread and I'm apparently 30 sec. or so behind the power curve and miss all the deleted DU posts.

I'm sure I'm not missing much but I kinda feel left out...

But you can't remember anything particularly wise that he said or posted. Anything that do to its inate intellectual brilliance made an effect on the ongoing debate. He will not be missed.

I imagine we'll be saying the same about you someday, given that the truly intellectually brilliant usually know how to spell "innate".

Okay, I've been here longer than you have and seen more of these than you have; because of that. Most older OPPE/OPUSES/OPERA? have indeed been from a lot of crybabies, who were banned and let back, banned and let back, banned again and had someone else posts their rants. And then there have been a few, who were just saying good bye; as this one is.

Yes, Long Cut IS a very different kettle of fish. His posts have usually been very well written, thoughtful, and factual.He's no "crybaby" and will be sorely missed by those of us who read his posts.

You are the poorer for NOT having read them! If you had, you wouldn't have said what you have.

Long Cut was a good friend to a bunch of us in the Canteen.

Posts or differeing politics be dammed...he was a friend to a lot of us and THAT is why some of us think he will be missed.
