the good, the bad or the ugly.

Thank goodness not the ugly. If we could see each other, I wonder how many of us there would be. ;)

P.S. Haven't been able to read the Terri threads. Is her so-called husband keeping a death watch at her bedside? And if not, what is his excuse for not being with her?

I had a relative who died two months ago. She was comatose and from the very beginning, doctors tried to convince my family to remove her feeding tube. It is definitely part of our culture now.

Every website, unless it's owned by the government, is privately owned. And somebody pays the bills on every website.

I'm trying to think of any exceptions to this but so far I can think of none.

I am going to be brave and post what might be my last post given the conflagration I expect.

I love Christian people and am from a long line of real Christians. My father taught men's bible class at the Methodist Church for fifty years. One of my ancestors was the builder of one of the oldest Methodist Churches in the country. My great great grandfather was a circuit rider.

But I am tired of the religiosity on the TS threads. The endless bible verses, the placing everything in a religious context, the sermonizing and demonizing and endless endless assumptions that everyone here is an evangelical Christian.

I have said it and I mean it and I suspect others do. Usually I don't reply to these posts but they are becoming every post. I want to say "let it go already"

"First of all who in the world spells America...Amerika????"

Commies

And people that think America has slipped to the point of becoming similar to the USSR or Nazi Germany on certain issues.

" ... It makes me tired."

Yes. We have all become weary.

In the past years I have attempted to reply to each and every poster who replied to my posts.

It has now become necessary to weed out those individuals, whom I consider, closed to any sense of reason, who fabricate, who distort, and otherwise choose to be "rulers of the thought".

No more Mr. Nice Guy. ;)

yep.

I thinkk the country is going to get Terri fatigue much like Scott and Lacy fatigue and is just going to want this to go away.

And we will be left with alot of bad feelings with no resolution.

Sort of like the political scene, for a while I just quit reading the paper or watching the news just to have some peace. I think maybe I just can't stand wrenching battles.

This thread is actually the biggest disgrace in this whole sordid affair.

Suck it up. There are some people here who believe a grave injustice is being perpetrated right before our eyes in a sick, Satanistic manner. That's not small.

Furthermore, people like you guys who speak in generalities like 'lose the battle to win the war' dehumanize the victim here. She is an innocent person suffering a tortuous death.

And lastly the Bush brothers abrogated their Constitutional authority to preserve the life of a Florida and US citizen.

Yes, the debate is getting old and it's getting heated, but this is the way it's going to be for a while. Maybe you should step away from FR and read the US Constitution for a while (perhaps you should look at Article III).

Yes, I know that. My point was that it IS privately owned just like Free Republic and that the owners can make any rules they want. My question was meant to be rhetorical.

If we don't like it we don't have to go there. I don't like it and I don't go there.

*shrug* That's why I left Lucianne years ago, as did so many others. Her forum. Her rules. My choice.

Haranging? You and your ilk have spent tens of posts on this thread bitching about how closed minded some of us are. Then I offer a few sentences of explanation, and I'm haranging?

You need to pick up a book or watch some TV.

Now I am "ilk" because I don't like your tone.

Be careful as I am now "ilk",,interesting word, wonder where it came from. It has a vaguely unpleasant connotation. I guess if I weren't so tired I would go look it up.

Are you of "my ilk" or someone else's ilk? Is a it a good thing to have a group of people and declare "we are all of the same ilk"?
