I thought it odd, that Harley, my light colored horse, was sweating the worse. Of course, with Rusty you never know, he did a little bit, but I don't think Belle was sweating as much as Harley, Rocky sweated about as much as Rusty, just on his chest. Harley was wet all over. I hosed Rusty some just because it is Rusty:).
I think after today, this is suppose to pass.

Dang, I almost missed your pictures! I love that truck, I used to drive one just like it (different color) and the thing was a tank, it never had problems and would go forever.
LOL, yeah it was a riot, but I sure felt like an idiot:)

This spring has been such a bummer. It's only rained once, this area is about 5 inches below average rainfall for the year. My husband worked on the sprinkler system yesterday so we could start running it, something we don't usually have to do until July. Driving down the highways, the landscape looks like August, brown and dead, and it's only May. Gonna be a baaaaad summer.
I think Mack was going to let me leave and see how far I got before I realized I'd forgotten her:).

I drove out of a training stable once with my trailer door still latched open. I looked in my rearview mirrow and saw all the stable workers running behind me screaming. The horses were behind the trailer partitions so they couldn't have fallen out but I did feel like a doof.
We've gotten several good soakings, so far this month. The hay fields around here look pretty good. I think the bermuda is finally coming on. It's been so cool up till now it was slow starting. Same with my flower garden. I don't think it grew at all till this last week.
Becky
The guy I buy my hay from is having the same problem, it's been too cool for it to grow. Oughta be growing a little now, it was 95 humid degrees yesterday but he's still having the problem of no rain.
Around here the first hay cutting is not bermuda. I'm not sure what it is they do get. The fields look like they're about ready to cut now. I'm not a hay farmer, but I'd think pretty quick now would be a good time for them to go ahead and cut, to give the bermuda a good start before everything does get real dry.

I think what ya'll have up there is something called "brome", not sure of the spelling. Cows like it but it's a little rough for horses. Is that what the first cutting is?
Good morning! I think we're gonna put Cyn in the front. With the angles... It's just a little roomier in the back for Bay.
LOL - Oh dear. :~D
It's a good truck, dad's taken immaculate care of it. :~D
I don't know what it's called either, but you're right that the first cutting is mostly used for cattle.
Becky
Around here, they call hay thats grown for cattle "silage".
Hi Inge Cav... glad you saw my truck and trailer pics! We're pretty pleased.
I'm on an interesting thread about Hooter's sponsoring a little league baseball team.

Good morning all.
Becky, where are you? I have not been keeping up lately. My mare Melody and I have been dealing with riding past the Evil Donkey.
Humidity is so awful. Not only the sticky sweat but rot, mold, etc.
The first tie I ever hitched up a trailer, I was very nervoius and had a check-list to go over. I thought I had done everything right and then went to get an experienced friend, and asked her to look and be sure I had done everything right.
She looked at it, and then said,
"It's fine, but I think you'd better lower the hitch onto your ball hitch."
I had done everything but crank down the hitch!
LOL...that's as bad as forgetting the horse:)
I saw your first post about the evil donkey. I've been wondering what the evil donkey did:)? Was he loose?
Becky
