Hey, look at that, and it wasn't even spam:)
Becky
The forecast is pretty iffy... as is today. Typical NW May... every kind of weather happens every day.
Just out of zeal to go somewhere, I bet we try to go, waiving my usual fair weather rule ;~D
It was honestly won ;~D
I was thinking, unless it was just a real gully washer, that was going to last all day, I think I'd have to go:) You've waited along time for this. How far is it to where you're going? Which one of you is going to drive:)?
BEcky
BTW, what is your "fair weather rule"?
Becky
Boy - the rains we have had have been gully washers, thunderstorms... but they don't last long. I'm really hoping it's nice and we don't have to endure such things on our maiden voyage!
There are two spots not too far away that we've been thinking we might go to. Not sure - probably the state forest.
My rule is that I am a fair weather rider... I don't ride in the rain ;~D
Well, the most heat that could possibly build up under there is whatever her body temperature was, (101 degrees give or take a few degrees) and that's not enough to scald, so I'd think it either had to be pressure from the tree pinching, or friction. If it was one of those inch thick neoprene pads, it may have been too thick for the gullett of the saddle and made it pinch, kinda like wearing too many pairs of socks makes your shoes too tight. Either way, you were right to quit using it. I've used a neoprene girth and breast collar cover for 15 years and haven't had a problem with either. They sure make clean-up easier.
Nice looking truck. It looks just like our old '84 Chevy truck except that ours has silver or gray below the trim strip and on the roof of the cab. Ours isn't in near as good a shape as that one though. You're Dad's taken really good care of it.
Nice pictures Becky. The oil wells are interesting. Do they run off of a generator or what? The trail picture looking out over the hills is great. I love shots like that, and the self-portrait in shadows was a neat idea. Thanks!
I've never really paid attention to what runs them, but I would say a gas engine/generator because of the why they chug:), on clear nights in the summer when window are open, you can hear them, chug, chug, chug, ing along:). Nice to go to sleep too. Anymore tho, I have to really be listening to hear them I've gotten so use to them.
Becky
Those pumps make a nice bugger trainer for horses too:) It's funny to take one by them the first few times:)
There are two back there and one of them has a valve that releases a big whoosh of air about every 30 seconds. That is fun:)
Becky
Well I'm out of here for the day. My day with JP:)
Hair I can't wait to see your rig all hooked up and the tack room packed.
Becky
Oh there will be pics! Have a good day.
I'll bet it is! I imagine that if you don't have a good hold, you'd find yourself hanging in the air like Wily Coyote and your horse would be long gone.
Good morning - I'll be watching for pictures this afternoon :)
I'm excited...
But I've have to divide my attention. A friend is bringing her baby over for a visit. Getting our house baby ready stresses me out ;~D Dogs and people covered with hayseeds live here, not babies! :~\
Fabulous... Cyn is coming into heat again.
Fertile little thing...
LOL!! Pony should be coming back in too since they were both in at the same time last month. Bay should enjoy this, if they don't worry the snot out of him.
Don't feel bad, I don't have a kid-friendly house either. I'm usually a nervous wreck they whole they're there. Too many expensive things to break. I ususally try to have those type visits outside if at all possible.
