Here is the oddity, both were interested in Speed, my new little filly. I gave them her pedigree, explained as clearly as possible - 1) she would not be a good trail horse, will grow up like her mom. Needs a job, will be able to spin out from under you in a heart beat, etc. 2) she will not be a jumper, she will be like her mom - maybe 15h tops, etc. etc.
That does sound strange, maybe it was really the price of the two year old they were interested in, rather than the older mare. It was good of you to explain what you did. We are selling Misty (trail horse), Lightning (green broke) and the two foals as soon as we can, as we are getting ready to move and just don't have the time for them all. We want to downsize and I am most comfortable with Sugar and Smokey. We will be honest when we sell though and let the buyer know that Misty has not been rode anywhere near as much as she should, Lightning is eager to please, but as a stalion (maybe gelded soon) needs a more experienced rider and obviously the colts are just begiining. We are selling them all for $1500. I am sure there is a buyer out there somewhere that would be interested. : )

You could well be right. People sometimes just amaze me :) but I'm one of the ones that will sit in a public place and watch people. Well, the right person will come along for each of them, as will comeone for your horses.

Heh - people are nutty and many are no judge of horses ;~D
I've had to talk people out of my pony who just saw her in the pasture and thought she'd be fun for the kids.
To: HairOfTheDog
:) You said it so much better than I did.

That's rotten Becky, I'm so sorry. :-(
To: CindyDawg

See her? Sad huh?
To: CindyDawg

She wants out. Starting tomorrow I'm going to turn her out from 10-4. If she doesn't get whipped up on, I'm going to turn her back to the pasture Friday morning.
To: CindyDawg
That looks like a nice barn. She must be feeling better if she wants out.

It is nice, for a horse I guess:') She not only wants out but back in the pasture. I let her graze and she went straight to the fence.
To: CindyDawg
Well, doing it gradually like you are planning sounds like a good idea. You will know by Friday if she's going to be okay.
