[Jessica] looked even more like a slut tonight than usual.
It appears that "rocker slut" is her personal style.
She just looks cold and slutty.

BWAHAAAHAAAHAH!!!

I know what you mean about Jessica. She looked even more like a slut tonight than usual. It appears that "rocker slut" is her personal style. I think that's why no one could really warm up to her even though she has a nice voice. She just looks cold and slutty.

As I said at the time (before she was voted off), the "it's 2AM, who am I going home with?" barfly look was not going to help her out at all...

When Carrie won, it was the first time we've seen her turn truly outward. She seemed genuinely grateful, and it was beautiful.

Yes it was!

Something else I noticed was how Carrie handled herself in all the post-show interviews. She was so graceful and dignified and soft-spoken--a sharp contrast from how Fantasia conducted her interviews last year, crying all over the place, snot--actual snot--dripping from her nose ... yuck, what a mess. And I didn't think she was genuine at all. Fantastia would go on a crying jag, thank God, her mama, etc., then the tears would suddenly stop until a new camera was pointed at her and the whole crying jag would start again: "I wanna thank God, my mama ..."

Carrie outclasses her (and out-sings her) by a mile.

Maybe they were drunk since it was the last show.

Maybe ... Latoya London was definitely drunk last night! Did you notice they didn't go back to her after Simon noticed she was tipsy?

Thanks for that post! Carrie's gonna be on Leno tonight??? Maybe we could keep the live thread going for that ...

Well, they went back to Matt because Carrie won. I'm sure they would have gone back to her had Bo won. Matt was a BIG winner, though. It's clear he'll have a role in AI5, and good for him. He seems like a nice guy.

I have to give props to Mikalah Gordon. She was totally in her element interviewing people, and you could tell that she loved it-- more than singing. She wants to be an actress, from what she said after she was voted off. She never left Hollywood since she was voted off.

We only need less than 100 replies to get to the magic number. I bet we'll get there by the end of the day. Less than 100 is a snap.

Kudos to you, silent_jonny, for starting and keeping up this thread.

Congrats to Carrie, she's a great singer with tons of personality and charm. She'll make big bucks for Idol and the music companies.

I'm still a little downhearted that Bo came in second (sigh)!!!

My only complaint is I wish the first hour was as entertaining as the second

Really?
I "LMAO" the whole time. Love that first number with the past contestants...
really reinforced why the voting went the way it did.

And the "Star Spangled Banner" girl...what a riot.
She was positively in her element, coming out at the end
with that adorable makeover. Such a cutie.

Billy Preston singing with Vonzelle OMG. Talk about chemistry.
Perfect song for them.

Weren't you struck by how incredibly good all the gr8 old 'icons' were?
Rascal Flatts, Billy Preston...all those rich voices.

Man, I just woke up smiling today. That one show was
better than the whole season, IMO.

Boy, I'm not. This is much healthier for him.
This way his career can thrive without the backlash
of Carrie fans hating him for his past.
That negativity takes its toll and may even have played
a factor in his illness earlier this week.
The negativity toward him on this thread actually made me ill
so I can't imagine the pressure he's been feeling.

I didn't watch last night (family visiting), but it sounds like there are some good performances. Luckily, I have TiVo... (though it will have to wait for me to catch up on "24", "Lost", and the UEFA Champions League (Soccer) final first, in that order)

Well, the good news is that AI just move up one spot on the list, as someone posted a thread with the EUFA result in the freaking headline...

TiVo sounds gr8.
I like the fact you can program simultaneous shows.
Watched a few episodes of "Lost" and was intrigued...would like to have seen the finale.

Aw, bummer.
Our son called and said he was all pumped to watch the "Apprentice" finale, but some jerk on the radio
was talking about who won, before he ever made it home from work.

I mean... it's European soccer, for pity's sake! You'd think it would be pretty easy to avoid hearing the results for a day or two here in the states...

Someone on another borad said AI creator Simon Fuller told E! that Carrie won by 10M votes, the largest margin and vote total in AI history. I can't confirm this, though, because I'm not at home watching E!.

That's what you get for following something as boring as soccer...

Bo was extremely gracious. He was next to Carrie....holding up her hand like she was champion. I saw him on the am news shows & he was still "singing her praises". He was a true class act & a gentlemen.
