Thank you Capt. Pierce for your service and please tell your soldiers you will all be in my prayers. I have a son in the last 4 weeks of Basic right now at Ft. Benning and I'd just as soon have this war over sooner than later! He's headed for Airborne end of April and SF qualifying after that...I'm very proud of him!

Here is an e-mail message from Captain Pierce:
Ron, Thanks for sending me your post. My men are having a great laugh at my expense of course. I would rather have them laughing than crying. I will update you as I can and have time for. Keep the faith.
Sincerely,
Michael Pierce

Captain Pierce,
I had the honor of FREEPing the Oscars with you. I was the creator of the
purple rubber "freedom fingers" that you wore and Ted Hayes handed out (
see post #57 in this thread for pictures of you and Ted). You'll probably remember me and your using my bullhorn to "Support the Troops, Support the Mission":
I recall speaking with you and asking what I could do and I'll borrow an image from a earlier message on this thread to encapsulate what you told me:
I'll be battling as best I can with bullhorn and keyboard here on the homefront, trying to win "hearts and minds" of our domestic idiots who make the job of the soldier needlessly more difficult.
Godspeed.

Am I correct in understanding that Mike is Army Special Forces?

That's what I think I remember, but I'm not certain.
In other words, don't quote me on it.

It's so good to see your pictures here, Socomofficer!!
I can still remember meeting you at the Oscar Freep
and shaking your hand. You are a very special person!
I'm so happy you had a chance to be the
STAR of the Day with Hannity!!
God Bless You, Always!!!
