Can't believe Ron Santo missed it again!

I was disappointed over that, too. If Santo had made it, I definitely would be making my first-ever pilgrimage to Cooperstown for the induction ceremony, especially with Ryne Sandberg also going in.

Santo definitely deserves it, being one of the top five or six of all time at the most under-represented position in the Hall, playing in the lowest offensive era (1960-75) since the Dead Ball days.

I think they need to tweak this Veterans system a bit--make it every year, not every two years.

How great would have that been both Ryno and Santo being inducted together. When I was little my Dad took me to see a lot of Cub games at Wrigley. Mostly Sunday doubleheaders. After the game we would drive back to Rockford and Santo had a pizza restaurant that we would stop at. There were many occasions that I would be standing right next to either Banks, Williams, Beckert, Hundly, Kessinger, Jenkins, Santo, Durocher.... they would hang out together back in the day. Not like now when everyone goes there separate ways. I was born a Cub fan and am proud to have passed that on to my daughters. Tweak the veterans system! How about completely overhaul the whole broken system. Wish the fans had some say over who gets in!! GO CUBS!
