Lol. All I "know" about DirecPC was the little I picked up from a segment of "The Screen Saves", way back when Leo LaPorte and Patrick Norton were still at TechTV.
At least Spktyr was kind enough to provide me with some info about the service, without calling me "stupid".
(Thanks Spktyr, I do appreciate the info.)

I was at least partially correct. The DirecPC "Fair Use Policy" limits home users to a download "threshold" of 169mb.

Lol, why is it that Mac users have this complex about them that they must shill for OSX whenever they see a computer thread? If it were so perfect, then you wouldn't have people coming up to me and asking how to install their printers on their Macs.
I've always suspected that it's because they feel some need to justify to themselves paying for an extremely overpriced, albeit nice looking, computer.

I'm not the poster but you just made me recognize why I was having trouble last night! I didn't even think of that! Thanks! It looks like my daughter got some pudding in the shift part of the key board. I was on a site last night and all of a sudden the arrow started blinking and programs came up. I ran spybot, ad aware as I was a bit nervous. It had stopped but now the mystery of it is solved.
