Well, apparently OS X helps him plan strategery.

The way I see it, if you like WinXP, that's fine. If you like OS X, that's fine too. Bush wants to use OS X, hey, he's welcome.

Anybody should use whatever they like best. But arguing on the authority that Bush (or the drug-addled Limbaugh) knows which OS is best for you ... is laughable.

Where did I argue that because Bush or the non-drug-addled Limbaugh uses OS X, so should everyone else?

I know you hate OS X, but please don't turn every conversation related to it into a flamewar--I'm not looking to get into that with you or anyone else. Thanks.

Dude, you're the one that brought Bush and Limbaugh into the conversation...

Yes, and my comment had nothing to do with the idea of: "Hey, Bush and Limbaugh use OS X, so should I." It was a comment to a now-modered post #3, and had nothing to do with you, or the idea that people should switch to another operating system just because of famous people.

Take a deep breath. Relax. I'm not provoking an "OS X is better than Windows" argument here, and I'd like to avoid that.

Conservatives should make rational decisions as consumers, based on the quality and value of the product.

Amen to that. If I let politics guide me, as a Conservative, I'd never buy another car from Dodge, Ford, Chevy, etc., nor would I ever use Google, etc., etc.

Regardless, to the original user's question. I've had problems with Quicken the past few years now on the Mac. It's not a Mac issue it's a Quicken issue - they have done an incredibly poor job of porting. They could learn a few things from Microsoft's Mac unit - overall Office on the Mac has been, except for some rough patches, a good experience (although I've moved on to other programs). In fact, Microsoft's Mac unit has even taken their port a few steps further and not only added functionality, but have tried to keep Office operating in a "Mac-like atmosphere" so to speak. Intuit/Quicken on the other hand...geez.

I'm looking at trying out Liquid Ledger as an alternative. There are some things that have me wondering whether the company behind it is committed, but then again, the same can be said of Intuit/Quicken. Can't find their demo like they promised a long time ago, and they seem to go for very long periods of time between udpates. From what has been added to the latest betas though...it looks promising.
