I've been boycotting Hollywood for years.

It's been YEARS since the Academy's picks have meant anything to me.

Please take note that the recent Golden Globe Award presentations viewership was down by forty (40%) percent. I suspect the Academy Awards will not do well this year either. Also, with Chris Rock as emcee, a flaming Democrat "traitor" and Bill Clinton worshipper, that will further depress viewership.

I agree, but it has probably been 20 years since I have seen any awards. I very rarely even rent the movies that win. Except for Lord of the Rings.

I might watch the red carpet thing at the beginning, just to see if any of the Hollywood lefties see themselves on those "thank you" billboards :)

I'm definitely not watching.
To: twas
Ditto the above posts.
I haven't watched an Academy Award telecast since the early 70's when Scott and Klute did thier numbers.
These people are not a part of my existence.

I don't watch or care either. The left is so busy trying to wipe out all vestiges of traditional American life. I say that it's THEIR favorite institutions that have run their course and become passe. In other words, the Oscars are so last century.

I just have a question...we mock Hollywood, especially on Academy Award night. Why does it mean so much to some people that this film gets the attention of an organization we say we detest? I don't even think Gibson cares as much as some of you seem to.

I haven't watched a movie, network TV or news for 2 years now. Thats my boycott and my right. I refuse to support the treasonous Frankfurt School flunkies of Hollywood in any way shape or form.

I cannot figure this out, why many in the Christian community care about recognition from a bunch of Hollywood types? I'd actually be concerned if Hollywood gave positive recognition to "The Passion".
Their snub is affirmation enough. "The Passion" was very glorifying to God, and I don't expect the Enemy would be very fond of something that was. The snub is good news.

To set the record straight, I haven't watched in years either (I can't remember last time I did or cared).
I would hope, however, this idea is discussed in Churches and Church groups.
Spread the word. Get people talking. The idea would only work if the Academy knew why their viewership was lower this year.
