I'll see your chestnut and raise you spots...
I'll take that bet. White face and at least two white legs, but I bet no spots.
Too much white there to not have spots SOMEWHERE.
This is so exciting. I can hardly wait for Sharn to get back and tell us more:')
'member this one? Not a white hair on her ;~D
I hate waiting.....
Maybe the sire has some resessive paint genes.... :-) (Hey, one can hope) I like paints.
I hope she can get in and towel and rub...
I forgot to tell her to leave the afterbirth hanging until it falls out, not to pull it. She probably knows that.... I'm fretting now because I'd love to start telling her to start doing things... towel off the baby and imprint and all that stuff, but I don't know if she can alone. I hope deaconjim is on the way home!
Well DARN! What the heck do I know about spotted horses?! (that's what we call 'em in the gaited horse world). Hey, you had insider information. Call out the gaming commission! ;O)
Now ecurbh wants to have a baby horse. ;~D
She was posting awhile back about afterbirth care with sheep so she probably knows. I know she needs to be there but I also hate waiting.
If Sugar is as calm as she says, she'll have no problem imprinting. I've done all of mine by myself. Sometimes I think that less people is better as long as the mare trusts you.
Girl, you better be glad that's the ONLY kinda baby he wants to have!
She's been crabby lately though, so I don't know how to advise Rose on that while she's alone.... but then again... Sugar maybe feels a lot better now than she did an hour ago, and she might be fine.
You too? It's contagious isn't it? People always coming up and asking if I'm gonna breed SL. I answer "thinking about it" and then it's alway with who. I like to say "Okie". They will say "oh and then stop a minute and "but...)
HEH... Works for me!
Yeah, we gotta resist the urge to get too bossy. Lord knows I'm having a hard time with it. Gotta give Mom#1 and Mom#2 some space to bond.
Me too!
So we'll leave it to Becky to remind her about the iodine on the umbilical stump. ;~D
