It's shaping up to be a real snoozer but it will be difficult to be more boring than yesterday's games.

Although I am a few years older than he is, but there is a "hometown boy" who I was good friends with, who played for the NCAA Division I-AA Champion Montana Grizzlies on a football scholarship, and was drafted by the KC Chiefs right out of college.

But I agree with you, the Eagles blitz will overwhelm the Patriots throughout the game.

The Eagles defensive secondary is MUCH better than the Steelers, so the coverage will be there as well as the pressure. Eagle linebacking has taken a major step forward, too, with the return of Jeremiah Trotter to the MLB spot.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Eagles and how they play but from what I saw yesterday, they will have to step it up more than a couple of notches to even compete at the same level as the Pats.

I would suggest to you that the wind in Philly was a major factor in the way the NFC game was played. Plus, the Eagles blitzed Vick very little and the front four played a containment rush. Bottom line: The Eagles played a bit differently on both sides of the ball than they have throughout the season.

I hope ALL the BLUE state citizens enjoy being in RED state of Florida. I understand Jacksonville went for BUSH by 60+ % and over 65,000 people were at a Bush Rally at the stadium shortly before the election.

Anyway, my daughter, son-in-law and his brother and wife and their 2 older kids, have tickets and they will be there for the week before and a day after..... coming up from Southeast Florida. They have rented a condo near Southside Blvd. near Avenues mall. Pictures of it are pretty nice. They went through a realtor/ agency and say it so much nicer and bigger than hotel rooms.

Anyway, they did not care WHO was playing they all just wanted to go a SUPER BOWL.

I am just not able to go along...sniff, boohoooooo.

"Andy Reid and his coaching staff are 8-0 when having two weeks to prepare a game plan."

Not hard to do playing in the NFC Least.

When has Brady ever had a bad day in the playoffs or the Superbowl?
What is your reasoning that it would happen now?

You are right the Patriots made that call against the Raiders, not the refs. The tuck rule is hardley obscure.

Also, the Eagles got the same call the next season. Stopped a Donovan mcnabb fumble.

But if I understand that rule, a QB can get the snap, fake a pass and for the rest of the play, even if it takes a half hour, the QB cannot be charged with a fumble if he doesn't tuck the ball away.

That's just plain stupid.

the NCAA Division I-AA Champion Montana Grizzlies

And they fully deserved to be the champs. Montana absolutely decimated my beloved UNH Wildcats. But no one expected UNH to get as far as they did, so I feel it was a good season nonetheless.

alright, seventy-some posts and no proposition odds posted yet? As someone who lives this close to Churchill Downs, Pete Rose, and Paul Hornung, one has to ask these things. Where are the pointspreads? :>

And they will have to play differently against the Pats as well. I just wasn't terribly impressed with either team in the NFC playoff. They both played alot better in the previous week's games. I am not overlooking or slighting the Eagles in any way. I am looking at what the Patriots have accomplished in their last two games and based on that and the Eagles' performance in yesterday's game, the Eagles are going to have to step it up a bit to compete. Can they do that? Perhaps, but we shall see.

James Madison defeated Montana, 31-21, in the I-AA championship game this season. I think BigSkyFreeper was referring to some past season when Montana won the title.

Belichek is a genius.

Yup. And Brady is better than Manning. How's that?
