Yes, and she wants to be a Fairy Princess, too. Her dream job is working at the desk in the Oval Office. No one doubts that. She's just being humble and coy with that answer. It plays well to the public and she knows it. Her parents (same with the parents of her successful cousins) taught the Rice kids to make themselves attractive to others-- especially white America. All of them were trained to charm the socks off those who needed to be charmed. I'm not saying she's not humble and that it's just an act, but she knows she could do the job and she hasn't made any overtures about leaving DC because she hates the politics of living and working there. Condi wants to be president. I'm certain of it. At what cost, I'm not sure.

He was just saying he looks the part. That's just a comment on reality. Steve Forbes and Phil Gramm don't look the part, for example.

Most voters think a president needs a spouse to keep him/her grounded and to provide encouragement and support. It would be an issue to a lot of voters. Tuh-RAY-zah hurt Kerry like Laura helped Dubya. Voters didn't think she'd play that part well and they knew Laura does.

The expressions just stuck in my throat.

(Ah! don't bring up Phil Gramm! I was so sad when he dropped out of that race, and it ended so sadly. I heard him once give a campaign speech that was like "Ten things I'd do on my first day in office." It had me clapping and y elling -- and I was sitting in my living room!)

Things change. They also said if the Redskins lost their last game before the election the Democrats always win (I could have it backwards).

Nope, not young enough for security detail. Very nice looking guy. I hope she is dating him. The lady deserves a private life. She works too hard. She is a beautiful woman and should have some private time.

That is not nice. He would not be a male first lady. President's husband or something like that.

She looks good with the bangs. Maybe a new softer style with a bit of a bounce and flip would be pretty. She is a lovely lady.

Yes, she stated so in the book Condi: The Condoleezza Rice Story. I think Condi said it more tongue-in-cheek than anything at the time.

For Pete's sakes. How can THEY say a word. Not after what Clinton did. Or what old TEDDY did. Or after what probably half of the Dems have done.

I think that he would be called the First Gentleman.

I'm a Texan. I live in the midwest and have for 17 years. Middle America will vote for a single woman. Middle America will vote for a single man. All they have to have is integrity, values and be fiscally conservative. Venture out of the granite state more often - you might be surprised at what you find.

She is dating him -- has been for years, apparently.
