Until recently I lived in Sacramento. The Dollar stores there routinely sell wine. Pretty good stuff sometimes, from Oz, Chile, Germany, Spain, etc.

One time they had a couple of hundred cases of 1.5 liter Australian Shiraz. Now that's a pretty good deal! I bought $50 worth.

I tried to convince the clerk that it was a dollar a case, but she wasn't buying.
