Don't tell anyone - but the ABC version of that show is one of my secret pleasures.
I'm absolutely fascinated by people who think this is a good idea - and am always surprised that the all "learn something" from the experience.
I'll be watching tonight - while doing some work at home.
I don't what it's like where you are, but I know PBS in Boston will reshow it at least 6 times this week alone. They do the same with every NOVA episode as well.
What do you think of Iron Chef?
I've never seen it, but I do like Yan Can Cook and some other guy that look an awful lot like Mike Savage.
Iron Chef is too intense for me.
Last night The "French Iron Chef" was cutting up live lobsters -- not cooked. The parts still squirmed after being cut up.
That's pretty disgusting... I saw a clip of it and wasn't my cup of tea.
Iron Chef: AMERICA
GAME ON!
We're watching "America's Worst Kitchens" on TLC now. Amazing stuff. The winner was hideous -- a seventies disco velvet covered kitchen. Velet on the stove top hood.
Velvet on the stove top hood???? LOL
IMO It's realistic in terms of the pacing in a top-notch short-order kitchen. I can't stand surgery shows either for the same reason of intensity. Easier to handle in real life then as a voyuer.
Massachussets! Blue State hideous!
Well I definately know the Tenn. woman should hire the Min. woman a good therapist to find out why she is so obsessive/compulsive...a few cobwebs, dust, ants and flies are normal aren't they?:-) Looks like the next episode should be a good one....seems the Min. woman's husband and kids have been corruped while the staff sergeant was in Tenn!
I have to admit that that is one show I hate to miss. I always get all teary-eyed, and I am a grown man! It makes me want to support Sears for putting on such a great feel-good show.
I was referring to Extreme Home makeover in my previous post, just in case that wasn't clear
Wow...their (Sears) marketing works on me too. The show (a couple of weeks ago) with the autistic, blind boy, really, really got to me. I started crying mid-makeover, when they started putting the braille markers on things. I will soon need a new fridge...I know I should shop around, but I am really thinking just to go and get a Kenmore.
That one with the blind kid got to me too. His older brother was AMAZING!! They deserved that new house so much, good grief I am tearing up right now.
You're absolutely right, it's a fantastic show.
PS looking forward to the 'How Did They Do That' spin off of the show.
