I can't speak for Vince, but I've only ever seen it in the half-hour NFL Films version. That was exciting enough.
The
story is interesting because of the conditions but the game was slow and unexciting. Neither team could do much except shiver.
BTW did the film show that one of the Packers linemen moved just before the snap? Even if the official saw it he wasn't about to call a penalty. He wanted to get the hell off the field.
SuperBowl III is another example of a classic game because of it's import but, as a football game, rather dull.
Now the two SuperBowl wins by the Pat's is a different story. EXCITING!!!

One of the Boston Globe reporters today described the Patriots field as "mushy tundra". At least that is technically more accurate than "frozen tundra". :-)

Gillette Stadium Field to Be Covered
Sure, they covered it when the NFL reps came to town.
Do you wanna bet the field is a little sloppy?

Lol. The Randy Moss thread? I wasn't dissing the Packers. I just suggested he do the Jim Carey thing and talk to you Packer fans while he was bent over. :-)

Sure, they covered it when the NFL reps came to town. It seems the NFL rules say you have to cover it for two nights before the game. So there's nothing illicit going on.
Do you wanna bet the field is a little sloppy?
As long as they don't have a guy with a hose out there, I'm in favor of using whatever advantage you've got. If teams want to live by the pass and play indoors, they better make sure to get home field advantage.

Maybe a
little biased but the games really were exciting. How many SuperBowls were won on the last play of the game?
How many SuperBowls were won on a field goal with 4 seconds to play?
Where my real bias shows is in my willingness to call any game exciting when the old AFL teams beat an NFL team and, since the merger, when an AFC team beats a NFC team.

These idiotic Packer fans put cheese on their heads and they're gonna fine Moss for bending over with his clothes on?

We've had a good stretch of tight Super Bowl games. Even that year Tennesse lost to the Rams, they were just a few yards from scoring when time ran out.
Of course, this year we'll be talking about the comercials and the boring half-time show. Game ain't gonna be close.

'Splain to me how it can be frozen and still be tundra. Dumb hicks!
BTW, he didn't say "slushy", he said "mushy".

I know, but "slushy tundra" sounds better. :o)

Shouldn't be close! Remember, the Colts were 19 point favorites in SuperBowl III and the Rams were 14 point favorites in SuperBowl XXXVI.
The AFC team should be a heavy favorite but......
