SPARKS
Illuminating amber moon
so full you light the sky,
with stars above
and sparks of fire flies
racing quickly buy.
Again we sis together
and I often wonder why.

Sitting By A Bush In Broad Sunlight

When I spread out my hand here today,
I catch no more than a ray
To feel of between thumb and fingers;
No lasting effect of it lingers.

There was one time and only the one
When dust really took in the sun;
And from that one intake of fire
All creatures still warmly suspire.

And if men have watched a long time
And never seen sun-smitten slime
Again come to life and crawl off,
We not be too ready to scoff.

God once declared he was true
And then took the veil and withdrew,
And remember how final a hush
Then descended of old on the bush.

God once spoke to people by name.
The sun once imparted its flame.
One impulse persists as our breath;
The other persists as our faith.

Robert Frost.

Yes, on the back of the original sketch sits these lines:

She said she'd dent my head
And send me running from my bed
She wasn't as nice as I'd been led
And who'd have known she dressed in red?
And with that vase she made me dead.

Finding one to fit a sketch I've done is really difficult.

HIS EYES.....
Green are the eyes
of the one I adore,
with the depth and
shine of ice and the
fathoms of the sea;

Looking I'm' sure to
the heart of me.
Warm and tender as
they might be.

Strong as time has
chanced them to be.
Green are his eyes.

Good morning Bentfeather;All

What was your your first thought this morning? Did you pay attention?

I awoke to two words;

Fire and Atom

I got up early, made coffee and started laughing for no reason at all. Split the atom?

Then this came into my thought:

The soul can split the sky in two,
And let the face of God shine through.

--Edna St. Vincent Millay

"I`d rather have roses than diamonds around my neck."

--Emma Goldman

Garden Quotes:

"A hand that`s dirty with honest labor is fit to shake with any neighbor."

"God made rainy days, so gardeners could get the housework done."

What are you going to do next Helga?

Sing ? lol :)

Where did all the flowers go?

Let There Be FLOWERS !

Music is working well for me. Love the player format. Nice to hear Frankie Laine, but then you knew he is a favorite of mine, eh?

Herb Alpert is another favorite, and most especially Taste of Honey.

My first thought when opening my eyes, can't remember.

Probably not to light up cause I am stopping smoking.

One does have to remember not to do that after having done it for many years.

Flowers would be great, however we had snow fall in the night. Maybe 3 inches or more on the ground.

Well, Helga has an appointment this afternoon so must prepare for that.

No inspiration from the muse yet. She is flapping around here somewhere.

post #996 your-your lol

ja surrrre!

Vell yu yust flap around dere!

Happy to hear you are trying to quit. It is tough. One day at the time ~

Amazingly I can hear music this morning but for some reason this web system only gets the first bar or two. Now I get to play `name that tune`! lol

The music that everyone places here, I never get the entire song either, but usually the first 30 to 40 seconds. SamWolfs music maybe 5-10 seconds. I think it is just this web system. :(
I will have to play my own music, but it is always so nice to hear what others enjoy.

It`s going drive me crazy too because when I hear a song that I know I have heard before, I need to know who it is if I have forgot.

You understood all that didn`t you Helga? ...dere! ja, name dis tune!

I have a busy day too. :)

Be safe and have a happy day :)
