Oh, I'm in love :) Happens every time I see a good looking horse.
Are you a bass fisherman too?
Funny you should ask.
Bet you had a ball pulling that guy in :)
The problem there for me though would be that I'd have to get it, unhook it, something if I needed it, spurs are right there, if needed I can use immediately. Am I making any sense?
Sure.... makes sense!
Yep. I actually thew it back, but it had swallowed the hook so deep that I did mortal damage to it removing the hook. When it bellied up a few minutes later I figured, what the hell, may as well take it to the taxidermist.
Weighed a little over 8 pounds.
Do you hunt and fish?
I haven't needed either one in a long long time. Bay just goes, and if he ever didn't, there'd be reason to wonder.
Gosh, Cody looks like a gray in that newest pic. On your profile page, he looks like a buckskin. What color is he?
He's registered as a gray. In bright sunlight, such as the pic on the profile page, he looks like a buckskin. When he's wet, he looks dark gray to almost black. Maybe I should rename him Cameleon. :~)
If I went to your place, to look at a horse, you had 4 or 5 horses, and were wearing spurs, I would think nothing of it. No offense to you, but like Hair said, I would think you a "cowboy" in the good way. If you are asking this of us, because you want to know, should I have them on, if someone is coming to look at Harley, I wouldn't change my routine. Especially, if Harley performs better with them on.
Isn't that interesting.... that he changes that much in different light, and I would imagine, in different seasons.
So... are you guys going to get that bad weather way down where you are? Or are you out of the zone affected?
I assume no further news on new babies! Have any new pictures coming?
Hi, was just reading all that stuff about spurs.........interesting. I'm not used to them, and would probably do damage to me or the horse as i am inexperienced, but i dont think its mean to have them. The worst thing I have ever seen was when a woman was standing next to her tied up horse kicking it and hitting it with a stick because she fell off. My opinion is that if people like her are going to be cruel to an animal, they will be.
As for the weather, we wont be affected thank goodness. No sign of another foal yet. Adge is running rings around his Mom and sneaking left overs out of her bucket! She has her hands full!
Adge can be given his own feed pan with a little in it too... They are fun to watch go!
Next time we go to the feed store we are going to get him one. At the moment,as soon as Misty is distracted, his nose is in there! LOL
Gus is such a pretty boy.
He was drinking aout of the water trough earlier and my australian shepherd "Sally" decided to drink out of the other side. He gave her a withering look and just carried on drinking.
No, only with a camera. I used to fish when I lived in NC but no fishing here to speak of except trout - I'm no good casting and I don't like the taste of it.
My husband hunts although not as much as he did in NC. He has gotten deer and elk, and chucker and pheasant here.
That's great if she'll let him.... some mommas aren't charitable about their feed pan ;~D
