She was really roughly handled by whoever raised her. She's strung a little tight by nature, but she just flat out worries too much about small mistakes. She has gotten a lot better.

New to this thread , yes. I have ridden for 30 years and my horse will be 25 tomorrow. As you no doubt guess, she is a thoroughbred. Plan to ride the trails today.
That's a real snowstorm! Are you well set up for it there... critters all comfortable and easy to feed and water?
Welcome to the thread! I have an old guy too... my bay is 22, and still doing very well, considering!
Wishing ALL a very Blessed and prosperous New Year!!!
Yes, we're okay here. I'm a doomer at heart, always prepared as well as can be for something like this. However, I did notice I'm almost out of coffee - that's critical :)
Plenty of hay and feed for all the livestock though, heaters in all the troughs near electricity. Everyone has shelter although the momma mini had to go in the hay barn day before yesterday - completely out of stalls.
Well, I bet she doesn't mind being in the hay barn ;~D
Bad news on the coffee.... Sorry :~\
And also you!
I guess us bikers ain't much different than horse folks, we all like to ride, but mine is easer to catch. :)
My son, SIL and I are going to build this bike in our shop if we ever find the time.
Too noisy for me, BigMack... ;~D
You have got to be the first girl that I ever heard of that didn't like the sound of a nice Harley.
Ever ride one?
BigMack
Pretty awesome, dude. My older brother used to take me for rides on his motorcycle and I loved it then, I'm kinda afraid of them now.
Nope... I haven't! I can dig the style of it, it looks good on a guy walkin' into a bar... I've ridden with a guy on a few bikes in my time. In the 'way-back machine', my dad even used to have a Honda motorcycle when I was little, he let me ride on the tank. But now I'd be scared to, street bikes in traffic scare me, you're just so vulnerable, and the pavement looks like it would chew me up going that fast.
....And... I really don't like dirt bikes either anywhere in the woods, so where does that leave me? :~D
On a horse where you're supposed to be. ;)
But you will throw you leg over a 1200lb horse and woop and ride with no fear? :)
BigMack
Yeah, pretty dumb, huh? duhhhhh
By the way, my brother teases me about that, too.
Oh man, that's a great pic!
You both need to come to OK and let me teach you how to ride a bike, until you have ridden one yourself ya can't judge it.
There ain't nothing like getting on one early in the morning and running it up to 100 mph to get your blood pumping in the morning. :)
Becky rides a Harley.
