Cool. That link helped a lot. Now I have a floating image of Britney Spears taking her clothes off dancing around my computer screen. The gibberish is still there but who cares. Whoops, she did it again.

"x1¶tHxÁذ¤OìÕ&3ñ÷{!Õ¦ÛëZú,`ÐÛ yb M¦ywãài¾~ÔvLo¨6µ£HKv ÂzX5
" Here's your problem. If you change the section underlined above to "÷{!Õ¦ÛëZú" (omit the quotes), it should run fine.

If you have a dead chicken hanging upside down in your front porch, I'd say you really have a problem!

Looks like Maureen Dowd's latest column. No human technology could decode a Maureen Dowd column.

Make sure you don't have spyware screwing with your browser. I use Ad Aware but lately when I scan my computer it is coming back completely clean - which can not be. What is another good spyware remover? And, of course, thanks!

see the post I linked to. Download Spybot and make sure you UPDATE both programs. If you run scans with the updated Spybot/Ad-Aware combo and still don't kill it, there are a few extra programs posted in that thread that may help you.

There could be one or several causes for your problem. hijacked dns i.e. "mysearch" trojan, a mshtml worm, a rouge application (download any freeware/trial apps lately?) an obtrusive entry in your hosts file, etc.
In all seriousness I have seen this happen in the past. Here are the likely reasons...
1. Faulty keyboard...replace it and try again.
2. Corrupted language file (usually on ME, 95/98)do you have more than English installed on your machine? Uninstall any language other than english and reboot.
3. Corrupted "key logger" file. Yes, you may be the victim of a surreptitiously installed "key logger" program. Usually key loggers are modified by "script kiddies" and they do a bad job and usually they are in a foreign language. Visit trend micro's online scan at
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and run their scanner. Also visit news.grc.com and search keyword logger.
Please report your findings/results to us.
