Got two more rooms and another load of laundry done. I can't believe it's almost Christmas again already!

Laundry. I entered laundry hell today. I had a load of sheets that I'd left in the dryer last night. I'd washed another load, then checked the sheets in the dryer. They were still wet. How odd. I turned the dryer on, and came back and checked on them a few minutes later. There was no heat in the dryer. EEEEEKKKK!!! I'd also put some sweaters in a Dryel bag with the dry cleaning solvent-soaked cloth and was ready to throw them in the dryer. Sooooo, I was forced to go to the *gasp* laundromat to dry the two loads of wet laundry, throw the sweaters in a dryer, and wash another load of work pants for hubby.

Gads, it's been literally decades since I've been to a laundromat, and it wasn't any more fun now than it was all those years ago. I even got panhandled. Ugh. Needless to say, he didn't get a dime from me. Hey, I don't have any spare change - I needed it for the washer and dryers. And it's gotten damn expensive - .25 for 5 minutes of drying time!

Anyway, hubby got out the fix-it manual and his ohm meter, and did some checking. He thinks it's the high-limit (that's probably not the name of it, but I can't remember what he said it was) thermostat. Now we have to see if he can get the part. If not, I'm going to buy a used dryer, since I'm planning on putting in a gas line and getting a gas dryer. We just don't have the gas line in yet, and I don't want to spend a fortune on a new electric dryer, only to replace it soon with a gas dryer. Oh, the joys of homeownership.

Ugh.
Yes.
The driving insanity, the mobs at the malls, the constant repetitive carols, the constant pricing bait and switch..

You said that dirty word.....laundromat! I am going to have to take my comforter to the laundromat because my washer won't handle a king sized down comforter. It is in serious need of washing, but I really, really hate the laundromat!

I have SO much to do this week! I have to finish cleaning the house and go grocery shopping and I have a LOT to do at work to take off most of the following week. I need to get some more wrapping paper, get the wrapping done of the stuff I already have and stash Tyler's presents in the shed, figure out what I'm going to fix to eat while they're here and go wash that darned comforter. Did I mention that I HATE the laundromat?

I love Christmas music, if it is the REAL thing. I cannot stand these "modernized" versions of the traditional Christmas carols. They're horrible, not to mention just plain annoying. They do NOT put me in a shopping mood. They make we want to get out as fast as possible! They don't get me in the Christmas spirit either. They make me wast to shove cylindrical objects in annoying people's faces!

Hearing "Wham!'s song "Last Christams" for the 800th time in a day made sis and I write this:

WhumP! - "Last Christmas"

"Last Christmas, we raided a bar
The very next day, we burned it away
This year, to relieve all your fears
We're gonna raid someone SPECIAL."

Oh. You hate the laundromat? I just Loooooove them. erk. I didn't even take everything I had to wash. I had a couple of more sets of sheets plus towels to wash (we had guests for the weekend) but I'll leave them for later. I didn't want to spend any more time there than I had to.

Having some strange young woman fondling my skivvies fresh from the dryer was kinda.. creepy.

Creepier when it was a guy 'crinkling' the missus skivvies fresh from the dryer in same fashion.

I'm almost afraid to ask how it came about that you had not one, but TWO strangers fondling your underwear.

I didn't give anybody that opportunity. I was hovering too near the dryers. Besides, I can be pretty intimidating, not being petite, and I carry a Kershaw blade tucked away in my pocket. Ya wanna fondle my skivvies, pal? I'll introduce you to my Kershaw Whirlwind, first. I'd prefer to have a .45 auto with me, but I can't get a carry permit in this county.

Well, some young woman was pulling my laundry out of the dryer, and she came across a pair of my skivvies and held them flat in her hand.

Then she starts fondling the skivvies.
I coughed politley with a bemused look on my face, and tried hard not to embarrass her.
(She looked kinda young to my eyes.)

The guy was doing the same a day or five later, and pulls out a pair of the missus skivvies.
He starts stroking the skivvies as if testing the texture and 'imagining'.

I asked him what he thought he was doing.
He didn't answer.
But he could run pretty fast.

"I asked him what he thought he was doing."

You should have said, "yes they're mine, but you're not my type."

I'd made the mistake of wandering over to Mickey D's for a soda and a burger and brought my order back with me.

The second skivvy molester happened because the missus wasn't paying attention and I'd been sent out to the car.

I'm always amazed at the topic of discussion when I first come on line here..........

Never a dull moment.

Well, it was a pretty dull afternoon, having been forced to go to a laundromat for the first time in decades in order to finish my laundry, since the damn dryer gave out.

At least she wasn't holding a staple gun.
*shrugging*

I sure do find them.

And teh troll penny bouts were kinda lame today too.

So anything to lighten the mood is good.
