Yep! Four days... sorta... hours left until it's 3 days! :)
We may have a white Christmas down here in Texas! It's gonna get down into the low 20s by Thursday evening, and it won't be getting much warmer. The weathermen are all agreeing that we'll get snow. The question is, how much? ('_')-?

Yet another book I have to read...more SNL reruns to watch until the wee hours...
So I get it now, after skimming through--you're scourge. You know what's funny? For some odd reason, the past few weeks--despite your new sign-on date--I have consciously not picked on you as a newbie. I'm actually pretty nice with newbies but we all have our moments. It wasn't like some sixth sense telling me "Hands off! Its an old timer!" I was completely disinclined to give you any hazing at all because, due to your new screen name, I had a picture of you in my mind as a 68-year old immigrant woman from Pakistan. Somehow, over the years, I have apparently developed a soft spot for such ladies.
Weird, how my minds works!

We've already had a few flurries-and about an inch or two just a few days ago-so far.
Most of it has dissipated by this point.
I doubt that I'll be seeing any snowflakes this weekend.

Couldn't find any pictures of "old" Pakistani women, unfortunately.
Though, it does sound like a pretty good alias.
Gerard Perry goes incognito.
Passes as Pakistani woman.
Need to keep that in mind if I ever join the CIA.

LOL!
Don't forget the 'loose' eye thing.
One eye wiggles back and forth for no apparent reason.

May I say "Ewwww?"
That is a visual, though.
Need to go back to Google "Images" for that one, I guess.

We've got 2 1/2 inches of snow right now, easy. It's dipping down close to 20 degrees outside.

Comment #121 and 166 explain-to a certain extent-the origins of the bizarre screen name that I currently inhabit.
The rest of the thread basically heralds my welcome back to the hallowed halls of FreeRepublic.

This is the thread that explains-to a certain degree-what this new, odd screen name truly means.
Hopefully, it will provide a measure of clarification.
Though, to be honest, even I'm still a little confused. :)

Comments #121 and #166 give a brief-if incoherent-description of the process by which I arrived at the bizarre screen name you see before you.

Just look at the comments above to guide you.
I hope this goes some way towards explaining my-admittedly odd-choice of screen name.
Enjoy!

Yes, you DID ping me to this, but what I wanted to know was about your tag-line...
Don't sweat it.
it's just one of those ethereal things that is so "you"!

Oops!
I guess that shows you what brilliantly incisive thinking I do at three in the morning.
:0)
Actually, the tag-line is taken from one of Eugene Ionesco's most famous plays, The Bald Soprano.
It's pretty amusing-and truthful, in some respects-isn't it?
