If we continue to post vanity after vanity this site will become worthless to us on election night. Can't we please refrain from this for a little while?

that's the dem spin but i think it can be attributed to the standard "reps poll worse on weekends" trend...

Weekend polls undercount republicans. There is a clear statistical effect that many pollsters have come to recognize.

This was set up from the beginning to show a "tightening" of the race, just due to the way the polls are conducted. Good for ratings.

Personally, if it motivates repubs to go out and vote and makes some dems think it's in the bag, it's ok by me.

We'll find out tomorrow. Considering that the tape didn't produce the movement to W that was expected, your theiry has a solid basis. If Kerry wins, I know it's what I'll be thinking is the reason.

FNC getting ready to do story on what OBL really said (initial translation does not tell full Kerry endorsement that states voting for Kerry will be safe).

There are lots of reasons...
  1. Republicans don't do well in weekend polling
  2. We are doing stuff on the weekends that we can't do during the week...when Republicans are working
  3. Most of the places they polled had campaign events (see the event I attended on Sunday in Gainesville, Florida)
  4. I took my kids trick-or-treating
Lots of stuff to do this weekend. I'm in Florida, but no reason to think that the other battleground states are any different.

No, I don't think you are really correct. OBL did not announce any direct threat on the tape. I think that, if the tape caused any marginal movement to Kerry, it was because the tape's very existence shows that OBL is still alive and kickin', and that visual is a negative for W.

At the very least the OBL video stopped the ammo story dead.

Yes.

Media Played it: OBL threatning BOTH sides

(concealing his pro-Kerry statements)

Kerry Played it: OBL free because the job to hunt him down was outsourced

Bush Played it: Didn't play it - doesn't know how to play it

In additions, Congratulations to COMMIE Bastards at NYT - They played the 'Missing Munitions' beautifully - and all people know about that story is that 'dangerous stuff is missing'.There is way TOO MUCH confusion about the remaining details...

Look at the bright side:

We don't have to Salute Madam President Hitlary Klinton.

The OBL tape has had no effect (as it should be). Those who were for Bush are still for him, and those who are against Bush are still against them. (There are few who are really for Kerry.)

Some of the polling data show Bush down simply because they were taken over the weekend, but at this point all polls are bunk. Most have been within or just barely on the margins of error which means that essentially the candidates are tied. But there is more positive enthusiasm for Bush than for Kerry. We simply need to get out and vote our convictions and lead the President to victory!
