Good Luck, Godspeed, LUV YA BOTH...
U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) and first lady Laura Bush walk together on the South Lawn before departing on the Marine One helicopter from the White House, October 29, 2004. The president is leaving on his final campaign trip from the White House before Tuesday's national presidential election.
Rush and Molloy (NY Daily News) report on yet another desperate Dem smear:
Former President George H.W. Bush is defending his son against suggestions that Dubya's early community service wasn't voluntary - but court-ordered. Bush 43 has often pointed to his 1973 work with a Houston program for troubled teens as the source of his "compassionate conservatism."
He wrote in his 1999 autobiography, "A Charge to Keep," that "my friend [former Houston Oiler] John White ... asked me to come help him run" Project PULL, the Professional United Leadership League.
"I was intrigued by John's offer ... Now I had a chance to help people."
But some former veterans of the now-defunct inner-city program argue that, in reality, Bush 41 called in a favor from his friend White because of a brush Dubya had had with the law.
"We didn't know what kind of trouble he'd been in, only that he'd done something that required him to put in the time," White's assistant Althia Turner told Knight Ridder reporter Meg Laughlin.
"[White] was doing a favor for George's father because an arrangement had to be made for the son to be there," added another Houston Oiler, Willie Frazier, who worked with Dubya in the program.
The White House says all five people quoted in the article are wrong.
"The President served at Project PULL because he wanted to," said spokesman Trent Duffy.
Bush 41 admitted to us through a spokesman that, yes, he had asked White, who died in 1988, to take on his then-26-year-old son. But Poppy denied suggestions that his boy was sentenced to do community service.
"The allegations that my asking John White to 'take in' the President [because it] was judge-mandated are totally untrue," Bush the Elder said. "John White was one of the President's biggest fans - he often talked about their close relationship."
Thanks. The party isn't until February - they eloped on Valentines Day - pretty sappy, huh. I just went down to sort through bazillions of pictures since we're putting together a CD presentation for the party. I'm about pictured out. My brother will get to scan them all in.
A chick who identified herself as from "Survey USA" asked to speak to the youngest female in the house. She then asked me if I thought California was on the right track/wrong track...I answered wrong track (duh...gay marriage crap in SF, Boxer as Senator-lots of reasons, none involving W); her next question was "How informed do you consider yourself to be about the Presidential election, using a scale from 1-10 with 10 being very informed)...I answered "8" (considering Karl Rove is a 10)...She then thanked me and told me the interview was over...lol...
Moral: If you want to participate in a poll, feign only moderate interest and knowledge...
It is now undeniable. Our mainstream media has gone utterly insane. This new bin Laden video was rolling for less than 30 seconds when they started talking about the "political implications".
The Fox reporter with the Bush campaign actually said "I think we can say they will be pleased about this" [because it makes Bush's case for strong leadership I guess]. Alan Colmes was there saying how this is "good for Kerry". It's sick!
I can't remember, did Kerry ever use the "Bush sat there for seven minutes listening to My Pet Goat" in some stump speeches? Btw, the teacher said it wasn't seven minutes. Too bad for CBS and NYTs, OBL will knock their lie right off the radar.
From Kerry spot:
In Florida, the campaign expects Bush to end up with an estimated 100,000 vote advantage among early and absentee voters.
Wish I could find that post where I said W would win FL by 100,000 votes! :-)
Good. Hmmmmm.
Quick! Say he's gonna win by 200,000!
What do these creeps have in common?
Sweet mercy!!!
I read that title and thought, straight women will make over butch lesbians? No, nothing that good, just adding a woman to the bunch to fix up other gals.
My memory is that Andrew Card told W that a plane had flown into the Towers when W was reading My Pet Goat...at that time, he was not told we had been attacked...big difference, doncha think? Michael Moore started this.
Loved the video and will pass it on to five people at least....

He was told about the second plane while the children were reading. He had seen footage of the first plane's damage to the tower and they (and the media) thought it might be a private plane. Michael Moore should be hung, twice.
In FarenHYPE 911 the teacher goes into to detail about how she thought the president did the right thing and although she didn't vote for him, on that day she would have. I'll watch it again to get more detail.
Cripes, what kind of behavior is that at a funeral? Hillary has lost her mind. Maybe she's got internal polling that tells her GWB will win and she can't contain her glee.
Sorry, in my previous post I forgot to italicize your quote.
Come to think of it, Effin' is prolly too stupid to know he's in trouble.
Well shoot, you have your own superhero campaigning with sKerry in FL today, lol...
