I had two mares in one pasture with a pond and both would wade the water plus roll in the mud at the shallow end. I think they were wearing a mud coat to discourge biting flies.
Well, I've really enjoyed the chatting tonight, but I'm ready to call it quits for the night. See ya in the morning.

LOL! He must be trying to imitate you picking up the hose. They are smarter than we realize.
Night. I have to leave at 10 for awhile myself.
Enjoyed talking to all tonight too.
Good Night
They really are. I have one that will pick up his feed bucket with his teeth and carry it where he wants and will knock it over with his head and bump it with his foot and then set it back up and eat what he knocked loose.
LOL! Those rubber feed buckets make good toys.
Okie....Oklahoma. Uh huh :')
LOL. Yeah, I was so busy talking to the lady that was going to ride him, the comment didn't register until later, and then I realized why she said it.

Yeah, a friend of mine owned him. When Cindy was first looking for a horse, she was telling us on another thread that she was having trouble finding one. I knew this horse sort of and went and got him. At first I didn't think he would work, seemed real green, so I went ahead and bought him because I liked him, then after I had rode him awhile he really came around fast, and I told Cindy I thought he'd work for her. So she and her husband came up last year on Valentine's day and Cindy and I rode together, and she took him home. The friend I bought him from has too many horses and no time to work with them on a consistent basis. She keeps breeding her mares, and then doesn't get the foals worked with till they're older. She has a full brother to Okie that is a year younger and she's never rode him yet. I think he's probably about 6. He seemed a bit hotter blooded from birth then Okie so she has been leary of getting on:), and now has put it off so long, it's going to be tough. She liked this one better, then Okie, he's more taller and lankier, that's the way she likes them, so she kept him a stud for a while and bred him to a mare she had. I always liked Okie better, I'm not fond of the throughbredy type's and Okie seemed to have a better mind too.

Good morning.
Some of you all missed a good evening of chatting and pictures here on the horse thread. If you're intrested in horses and horse pictures scroll up thru last nights posts:)

Another workday here! Only a few left. Need some coffee.
My friend Ruthy from the Hobbit Hole has been looking for horses for me.... She thinks we'll put it off without her. This is sure a pretty Appy here she found on a website: Only 14.2 Hands, but look how stout she is! $1800. She has a pretty head for an appy and nice markings.
That is a nice looking app. Did you draw lines on her:)
AND, she has a tail:). I really don't like the apps that don't have tails. Makes them look off balance.

Of course the proponents of shoes say - they aren't in those conditions - plus the work they are doing - being ridden, etc. makes their hooves wear differently than if they were out roaming free.
We are heading over to look at another horse this morning. It is a paint gelding. Two just doesn't seem like enough LOL..... Not sure about this one from description - we will see.....
I've been wondering about how well horses sell on the internet. I've thought about putting Harley on one. But I'm not good with computers and navigating around a site. I guess I should put alittle more effort into it.
