Oh sure:) Susie's, my Jack Russell, nick name is Stinky, given to her by my husband. She not only brings home the smell of what she rolls in, she rolls in stuff till she brings residue home, yuk.

Wondering where you were today. I'm bored silly. I've been putting jigsaw puzzles together. Well rather finishing one and getting ready to start another. I've done 4 1000 piece puzzles in the last 2 weeks. I like Charles Wysockis puzzles.

Those are pretty horses. Do they always have white manes and tails? Look pretty sturdy too. I like that:)

It's time for me to do the afternoon feeding and I'm really not looking forward to going out. I don't know what the wind chill is, but I bet it's below freezing. The temp is 40, but the wind is really blowing

I love puzzles... and I do big ones too. Haven't had the table space to do one in a long time.

I am here, really sleepy and lackluster. I don't really feel like doing anything at all, and realizing that is a little depressing ;~D

Just a ray of sunshine, aren't I?

I think they end up in the heavy breed draft category and they probably have a purebred standard list that calls for all white on mane and tail I'd guess - don't know how all that works.

Well, I'm in the same boat. No ambition.

I bought a cheapo kitchen table about 3 winters ago to put in my living room to work puzzles on. That way I can be in here with Mack, see the TV, etc.

Problem is my cat likes to jump in the middle of them and knocks pieces off then Susie chews them up. All my puzzles are missing a few pieces. I buy a few new ones every year, and re work the ones from other years over and over. Pile them up on the dining room table till I get burnt out doing them, then take them all apart and put them away for the next year.

I took pictures of the ones I've done, they have horses in them so they fit the thread:), as soon as Mack lets me on the computer I'll post them, from lack of anything else to do:)

Well whatever, I like the looks of them:) Guess since they come from the draft line they get pretty big?

Sure! I do them over and over again too.

I buy them cheap, from garage sales and thrift stores. 50 cents or a dollar... Doesn't matter if a couple pieces are missing at that price, and often times, they're complete. But I had boxes and boxes of them taking up space, when we did spring cleaning this year, I gave all but a couple favorites back to the thrift store. ecurbh and I are now using my big folding tables as desks, and there just isn't a lot of room.

I like those 3-d puzzles too, and they take up less space.

I've never done one of those.

When we were kids my mom always got us a big puzzle that we all worked on. Funny how doing something like that can really get your mind off of whatever you need relief from:)

Every year I think I'm going to glue at least a few of them, because I really like Wysockis, and hang them. But I never do. I wouldn't be able to decide which I like best. And if I liked one best, I wouldn't want it permenatly glued.

I never glue the ones I really like either. More fun to put them away awhile, and put them together again. Sometimes, when I start one again, I can remember what I was thinking about the time before, like the memory is sparked by looking at the pieces again.

Not familiar with Wysocki, so I'll look forward to the pics.

I think the next time I'm in town I'll pick up a puzzle or two. ;~D They are great for winter days when it's dismal out.

Wal mart carries them. Kind of Americana type pictures.

I used to do puzzles but I have to have completion. A few pieces mising after I got finished would irritate me to no end :') My kids would sneak in and get a piece then there was competition on who go to put the last piece in.

Well I do complete them:). They're as complete as I can make them.

We always competed to see who would put in the last piece. Once my brother and I each hid a piece. My mother wouldn't let either one of us put our piece in. We had to leave them laying on the table:). She finally did it one day when we were at school. (I have a feeling my brother put them in some time or other when no one was watching, as did I:)

I guess that was part of the fun, them laughing and teasing me because I quit after they grew up. Now I just do word puzzles. I like crytograms.
