No, folks who had door delivery kept it. They still have it.
"The fundamental personnel problem at USPS is that the work is such that mentally unstable folks can do it quite well. As a result they tend to stick around. Eventually many of them get promoted into supervisory and management ranks."

Just where in the world did you get this info? Good grief. Apparently, you don't know any personally.
I'm not alone.
Ok, I'm sure listening! I just talk about folks I know who are dedicated in their job at USPS. Maybe they're not the happiest with their jobs, being contractors in upstate MN and don't receive great pay and all. But they sure go out of their way around these parts to do their job. A friend of mine just bought a newer car to deliver mail. She couldn't really afford the debt.
What I don't understand; is why can't USPS furnish vehicles.
USPS is rotating LongLifeVehicles into rural service in many areas. This will generate savings to USPS.
I sure hope you're right!
Really? Not to doubt, but what she claims is different from that. USPS doesn't supply vehicles around here.
I sure could be wrong. I'm referencing way northern Minnesota carriers. That's what I see daily on tneir route. Self service vehicles.
Ask her if she has a drive-out agreement and what the payment rate is. Ask her what she pays for gasoline for her delivery vehicle as well (per gallon)
