So no, she could try to claim that but she would be soundly rejected. Didn't seem to bother UOx42.

Didn't seem to bother UOx42. Well, no, you're right... but at least he had some personality. She's a shrew with a screw loose who never learned the fine art of strategic silence.

What a load of tripe. Technically since scientists believe that life started in Africa, then I am an African-American several centuries removed.
Since I was born here that also makes me a Native-American.
Momma T's ancestors, having been slave owners in Africa makes her the first slave owner 1st lady of the last 2 centuries.

These are all AMERICAN WOMEN who's ancestry is from Africa..and were a part of American culture. Being a white American male I grew up with most of these ladies and more than what is just pictured here.. Even Lena Horn...she was still around when I was a kid. I don't remember third from the top.

I think that's Billie Holliday. Can't remeber if it's two Ls or one hehehe. If african-american is synonymous with black well they'd be more african-american than Mama T. When the term first came into usage, there were not a lot of African immigrants in America that it would cause any confusion. Even Eartha Kitt and Lena Horne aren't african-american, they're half white. I like American, it's a lot less confusing.
