Now, to get to the important part. Are Hillary and IowaGranny wearing white shoes or not? Are they weariing fall colors or late summer? I want to know what they are wearing for the convention. Have they shared yet?

My girlfriend is there
I asked her to e-mail "reports" if she finds time, I'll share

Watch for Bush to get a big bump

People watching are gonna be digusted by the Liberal leftists distributors demonstartors who plan violence and their own brand of "civil disobedience"

I hope the police nail them and any Freepers doing a anti -protest are careful (and bring cameras!)

Good morning, BWB - hope all is well with you.

I bet the protesters are kept so far away from the Garden that they're in NJ or LI. hehehe

I did see those nude protestor pics yesterday and had a laugh. At least they were showing off God's creation, which I doubt they appreciated.

Thanks for this thread. I am looking so forward to this convention and the resulting (I hope, I hope, I hope) bounce for W.

Back later, am off to Barnes and Noble to purchase the swifty book and the Tommy Franks book.

Hillary Clinton will be on MTP on Sunday to bash all things W.

I hope she does her laundry. She was photographed in Ireland last week on Thurs and Friday in the same outfit.

Thanks, DS. No matter how good the trip, the best part's getting back to your own home, your own critters, and your own bed (that and catching up on all the threads and forums you've missed).

A great SoCal Saturday to ya.

Re the naked AIDS protesters: perhaps I'm just simpleminded, but I fail to see how stripping down to sneakers and one's birthday suit actually accomplishes anything for anyone. Did one less person die of AIDS because those blubbery, self-indulgent children exhibited their "assets" on the streets of New York?

On another topic, we're pretty excited about seeing W tomorrow. We have the tickets for which I stood in line for 2-1/2 hours, and the tickets Mr. M's lawyer friend left for us (which we thought might provide a closer vantage point, but they look just like the tickets I picked up at HQ). Next Saturday, Effin's coming to nearby Steubenville, Ohio. If I don't join my sister and nieces at a colonial event (celebrating our area's Revolutionary War history), I'll go and recycle some of my many freeping signs.

I have nothing against protesting, it's a fine exercise of the First Amendment. I just don't think the naked AIDS protesters did anything to advance their cause. I hope that our harassing of Kerry wherever he goes does serve the purpose of 1) discouraging him and 2) making his unthinking followers start to question their support. It's unlikely the naked seven or eight caused anyone to think, although a few observers probably lost their appetites and thought about buying a bottle of Pepto.

I caught part of a WABC broadcast on cspan on Thursday, a five minute segment on what could happen if the protesters got violent. It might be my bias but it was if they were trying to communicate with said protesters that if they got violent it would more than likely translate into higher poll numbers for President Bush. I think they used the phrase, violence might help President Bush's popularity, three or four times.

Hoping all is well with you and you're getting some kickin' back time.

In case you missed Timeout's link from the last thread.

After watching the liberals and the other lefties this week it made me wonder. What is it like to have no shame?

The ticket I had for Laura's event was for right up front but there was a big crowd of people with the same. They called on those tickets first, right after the really important people, like HLL, were called. But try to get close to where he'll speak because after all the blech that man has to put up with he'll remember it's all worth it when he sees your beautiful smile. And I mean that sincerely!

Protests in NYC:

.... Thousands more protesters will take to the streets today. One group - denied its bid to rally in Central Park - is still planning to converge there today. Leaders of the ANSWER coalition have been passing out flyers informing protesters of their right to congregate in the park.

About 10,000 abortion-rights activists are expected to cross the Brooklyn Bridge in the 11 a.m. March for Women's Lives, which has a permit from the city.

Earlier yesterday, parks workers discovered the Van Cortlandt Golf Course in the Bronx, where a few GOP delegates were to play yesterday, had been vandalized with anti-Bush messages. "Extensive damage" was done to holes 15 through 18 and slogans were spray-painted on the grass, parks officials said. Repairs will cost $6,000. NY Daily News

Chris Heinz has admitted he and his brothers weren't always such big supporters of the Democratic presidential hopeful, John Kerry.

"After I lost my father in a plane crash in 1991, I wasn't looking for a stepfather," he said at a fund-raiser at Jean Luc East. He also alluded to resentment from his two older brothers, Andre and John, after Kerry married their widowed mother, Teresa. [From what we've heard, John IV doesn't care for his mother or his stepfather]

"But this man earned my respect and then my love," Heinz concluded, to applause. [Whatever]

Kerry's daughter Vanessa added: "My father has said this is the most important election of his life, which is saying something, because he's really old." [Not to mention, extremely dorky, probably in poor health, and looks really stupid in spandex] link

Thanks for bring this by on the last thread.

Can't tell if it's a new do but that suit is fabulous, love that color on her.

And thanks for the definition of sitzpinkler. I looked it up in the good old Merriam Webster and didn't find it. Kinda thought that might be the definition. :-)
