Fair and balanced should mean more time for conservative guests to talk. The liberals get a lot of time on the other networks.
To: CHAROM
Sorry, I cannot agree. I find Brit Hume, John Gibson, Neal Cavuto, Jim Anglin, and others there, and no where else.
I have no problem with Fox News presenting both sides.

"What happened to Fair and Conservative."
It's never been "Fair and Conservative." It's always been fair and balanced, however. I've never seen any guest on Fox get away with just listing a bunch of talking points and never getting challenged on it, and I've never been able to see anyone cite a plausible slant in its coverage either way. Bitching that Brit Hume is liberally biased because he leads with a Kerry story is hilarious.

During news updates through- out the day the lead is a Kerry attack on President Bush or some other Liberal quote. THIS IS NOT FAIR AND BALANCED. Yes, actually. Presenting the one side, followed by the other's rebuttal, is the very definition of fair and balanced!
All of the liberal media networks are carrying Kerry's water each and every day with Chris Matthews being the worst of the ilk.
Very true. This is why I do not watch Chris Matthews.
FREEPERS HELP TURN FOX NEWS BACK TO FAIR AND CONSERVATIVE.
No thanks. I like them fair and balanced. If they were just conservative, no liberals would watch. We need the liberals views to be layed out, and then refuted. This is the only way to swing people over to our side.
Take a break, have a cocktail, and relax.

I agree and Special Report is the best thing on t.v. as far political shows go - well any show.

You seem to have bought into the liberal spin that Fox News is Republican News. Fox is a news channel, plain and simple as that. It only appears to be conservative due to the fact you won't see conservatives on any other "news" channel (except as fodder for ad hominum attacks, and drooling, spitting screamfests, a la Matthews). So no, it doesn't bother me at all that Fox carries stories about leftists. They are giving me the news, something I can't get from any other source, apparently.

Fair and balanced should mean more time for conservative guests to talk. The liberals get a lot of time on the other networks. FNC has balanced (read equal) coverage of both sides of the issues.
They aren't balancing out the other networks. If that was the case, we'd need conservative-leaning shows or channels for each of the liberal ones!

I think this post illustrates that EVERYONE both on the left and the right need to get back to reality and realize that there are people on the left and the right and no matter what the station that plays both sides is the best, which Fox is doing.
Wanting it to be exclusively Republican/Conservative plays into their hands. The Reps and the Conservatives still get equal time and that is ALL anyone could ask for out of any media outlet.

Right there with you. Noticed it months ago, but it's really been bad since the parent network CEO endorsed Kerry.

I love Neal Cavuto's editorials at the end of his show, and I also enjoy John Gibson's viewpoints.
Any number of other commentators on Fox are terrific; Ben Stein, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Charles Krauthammer, I could go on. ;-D
