I hate it when the left confuses freedom of speech with freedom from repercussions of one's speech. Ms. Ronstadt was not prevented from voicing her opinion. She was not thrown in jail. She was given freedom of speech.

Moore and his ilk just don't like that the audience members were allowed their freedom of speech to boo her, and that the Aladdin hotel and casino was allowed its freedom of speech in making the safest business decision and tossing the walrus out on her whining butt.

Maybe the owners wanted that other 1/2 back, you know, cause they were SPENDING money.

Why is it that when a liberal speaks, we must listen?

And in the United States, we have something called "The First Amendment." This constitutional right gives everyone here the right to say whatever they want to say. All Americans hold this right as sacred.

Moore is so ignorant. What the First Bill of Rights says is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...or abridging the freedom of speech..." That would be Congress (i.e., the government) that is resticted from abridging freedom of speech. Individual citizens and organizations can do what they wish.

If people like Moore are permitted to continue dishing out plateloads of steaming crap and calling it steak, I fear for the republic. I am not constitutional scholar, but I do not think the founding fathers would have considered lies, slanders or blatant propoganda "protected free speech".

I guess ordinary citizens have got to take the lead here, start showing up where he is and shouting him down.

While singing there for hire she is an employee of the casino and represents them. Image if, during one of my lectures (I teach at a university), I told my students that Auburn is a corrupt, evil institution and the students are wasting their time taking classes there? (Well, Alabama fans would agree, but it does a diservice to my employer.) We have free speech, but come on, Moore, nobody can be this seriously stupid?
