One can hope!
When I was younger, it was a miracle that I made it home in one piece from some of the less inspired things I did.
But I'm older nwo, in more or less one piece and marginally alright despite my hair raising youthful lunacy.

Nah, those aren't my style. They have to be up to my knee
& I prefer rubber soles, like combat boots, with grooves.

A report from Pensacola:
Two friends stayed through the storm - the house is unharmed, but all their beautiful oak trees are snapped in half and lying on the ground. The only utility that works is the land-line telephone - no water or electricity, and it's plenty hot there.
All traffic to the outer islands has been stopped, as the authorities try to get a handle on this disaster.
Prayers up for all affected.

Frog. Spanish zoologists have discovered that male frogs who are losers in love get their revenge by spreading their sperm over eggs that have been left by a pair of romancing amphibians.(AFP/DPA/File/Kay Nietfeld) Lovelorn frogs hop into the gene pool

I just got back from MY time at the county fair. My daughter and I took the grandkids the other night. Of course they enjoy themselves, but forget about looking at what is the essence of the fair. They just want to eat and ride.
So, today, I went alone and had a marvelous leisurely time. I enjoy the exhibits of quilts, wood working, canned goods and especially the young 4-H's work. I took in a livestock judging of children showing their cattle. Oh boy, I am always afraid that one of those big bulls is going to get away from the little person leading him around. There was also a washer tossing contest going on. I guess yall don't know what that is, huh? LOL
I had a few beers, a catfish dinner from the Methodist stand, a huge dill pickle on a stick, a funnel cake and I brought home a candy apple.
Saturday is the last day of the fair and I'm going to take the grandkids out to watch the small animal dress-up contest. It is so cute. Some of the exhibit chickens, rabbits, geese and such are dressed in costumes by the kids and paraded around. It is total chaos. LOL
I'm so glad I live in a rural area.

I'm order a couple of static cling Bush in 04 stickers, so that I can take it off my car when I park it. I really don't want my car vandalized. I'm surround by "Kerry-Edwards" cars. I'm also seeing more of these little ovals that say "Dem" in the center, and then "Dyed in the Wool Democrat" and "Victory 2004" in small letters on the margin. That isn't something I would be advertising.

Not quite. The next time I go to the fair, I'll have to have a mutton sandwich, a chocolate banana, cotton candy and a few more beers. LOL
You should see my husband eat his way through the fair. It is a sight to behold, truly.
