For some reason it was too sweet..the batter I mean.

Maybe it was too much coconut.

I'll try that dipping sauce.

I HATE peeling shrimp tho.

My plan was for crab cakes but when I got to the store, they had no lump crab meat and i sure as shooting wasn't going to crack legs.

I have a two way speaker phone....Missy Know-It-All felt deprived because she doesn't have one.

Don't know why she needs one because I hardly use mine.

We are lower level clerks...we don't need to speaker or conference with anyone.

A legend in her own mind, I suppose.

Here is a picture of the Ronald Reagan rose. J & P gives 10% of the price to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.

This is a new type of rose...looks like a hybrid tea but is grown on its own roots, so if you get winter die-back on the stem it will still come up from the roots. I think this is a good rose for your climate zone. Cost is $17.95, which is a bit pricey but worht it, I think.

Aunt Lissa's picnic-firewowrks thing is tomorrow at 6PM. Menu is hot dogs and brats. It is a pitch-in. Since a lot of us are on diets, you might want to bring chips and brownies for the kids. Call me if you have questions. (Bring the kid's little lawn chairs for fireworks viewing.)

That's ok. I think Jen said she had something to go to as well...maybe the same thing.

I am going to order one of those. I want more roses. Hubby thinks I am nuts...I won't rest until I have flowers everywhere.

I have never done roses...don't have the patience for all that work.

Bulbs work best for me.

I haven't touched my garden this year.

Don't look, Trill, don't look!!!

It is a very pretty rose. When I was working on the AC for Trill earlier... (this month?) I had to fight the roses away. Her yard is very pretty with roses, fig trees, a laden peach tree, and a stunted little apple tree. That rose would fit in well.

The yard would be prettier if my dog wouldn't lay on the irises. Go figure.

I love working in the garden. I even like weeding.

On the other hand, I am not fond of cooking. Everyone has her own favorite things to do.

If you want a garden that looks good all year, plant spring bulbs, Shasta Daisy Becky, daylilies that bloom at different periods of the summer, and hardy mums. Throw in forsythia, lilac, and vibernum, and voila...a pretty good garden without a lot of work.

I love roses.

Dad used to have a few bushes....he would tend to them all the time.

I don't mind weeding either.

Just haven't had much time for outside things lately.

I think this fall I am going to dig up all the bulbs and start over again.

Those are good suggestions Jane.

I'm going to watch a movie and call it a night.

God bless us all. Each, and every one.

I'm back. The mosquitoes were really bad at the Relay for Life. I walked around the track twice. I wanted to do more, but I just couldn't.

I don't feel bad. There were a lot of people healthier than me that didn't even bother to show up.

I planted a Ronald Reagan rosebush last year, along with a Veteran's honor. These were my first two rosebush's ever, so I don't really know what I'm doing. The RR only gave me a couple of flowers last summer but they were beautiful.

This year I was really worried about it, and I thought I was losing it, while the Veteran's had grown to at least three times the height with multiple blossoms. Shortly after the funeral, I noticed two buds on the RR rosebush. :)
