i am totally discombobulated. was out of town all weekend, away from work for several days last week and have been running nine waYs to sunday nonstop. so i am still trying to get my bearings. i think we have everyone called to class now.
we leave for Hawaii exactly 2 weeks from today. more exciting than that, is the fact that while xshub and xsboy are going to fly straight to Kauai, xshub arranged for xsgirls and i to spend the night in LA, fearing the trip would be too much for xsbrownie to do all at once. So we have decided to rent a car and go to the Reagan library on our half day in LA before our flight leaves for HI. i am very excited about this. i have always wanted to go and now especially, since he will just have been buried there, it will be even more meaningful.
So what else is new.

we cruised the Connecticut River yesterday. wet weather, but we enjoyed the scenery. I took the opportunity to tell the tyke about RR and just what he did.

we were in OH for xsniece's HS graduation on Saturday and just got back to xsbro's house to hear the news after the party was over. Watched all of the Fox retrospectives with xskids and xsbro's kids. it was good. as i said at the time, it is really a boon for President Bush bc here is a chance, an excuse to talk all about what Reagan did and it is going to eclipse ole F'in and redound to President Bush's favor. He is very similar to Pres. Reagan in a lot of ways.
I was aghasst watching the history channel's tribute. I didnt' pick up a thing negative. that must abeen hard. I lost $5.00 betting that the media would bring up the deficit and Iran/Contra before monday. amazing tha amount of respect he is getting so far...

Oh, what a great side trip, especially for the girls-you've got to tell us all about the library-I've only seen pictures of it in magazines and on TV.
