Just fired up the tivo for part 2. Did anyone else notice that the news titles during the evacuation read MARSHAL LAW? Not once but so far everytime they show the news on the movie its spelled marshal.
God, what a terrible movie this is.

10.5 is truly awful. It makes most entries in the TV movie-of-the-week genre look like high quality cinema. The science is, well, missing. The acting is worse. The background music is hilarious in that its obviously trying to create some sort of emotion about the "story".
It all comes down to the last 10 minutes:
"We are not masters of this planet."
Yup, that's right. It was a poster for tree huggers!

I noticed that too, and it caught me off guard I had to send an instant message to my ex-wife (a professional writer) to ask her about it. Once she confirmed my suspicions, I laughed throughout the rest of the movie.
Damn, that was a bad movie.

Did ya get through to the end? Barely. The meeting where nukes were suggested almost lost me (as did the train being chased exactly down the tracks around curves), but the "marshal law" cheered me up until I discovered they were drilling the holes one at a time.
It was bad enough when the father and daughter didnt climb out of the sun roof before the truck sunk, only to have the FEMA dude stay behind by himself to arm the nuke. Um, okay. It occured to me while he was talking to his son (and the sudden lack of urgency) that he could have used the microphone on his headset to push the button. His finger was only like an inch from the keypad.
Horrible, horrible movie. Bad acting, bad science. It had it all.
Oh yeah, and men are woosies.

You forgot the dizzying zoom-pan hand held camera work and the goofy Powerpoint split-screen transitions!
