That Online Relationship Dude should be a definite warning to any ladies who are considering internet dating. He's sitting at home typing in things like, "tall, dark and handsome man looking for"...... whatever. If you guys have a female internet pal you want to get rid of just send that pic and a note, "I've lost a few pounds, don't you think I look good now?" They'll be long gone.

I am overweight. I eat too much. Everyday. I worry about it in the back of my mind at all times not to mention I am self-conscious about my appearance.

I never smoked. (Good thing since my willpower as evidenced in dieting is weak and I dread the thought of me going thru what friends have gone thru kicking the cig habit.) At times I have felt smug when I read the stats on all the bad stuff that will happen to chronic smokers. But then, guess what? I read some article that says being overweight shortens life expectancy as much as smoking does. RATS!

Anyway, we FReepers, write back and forth but don't know everything about the rest of each others' lives, maybe the unkempt yards, the sinks full of dishes, the neglected fam members who say they're internet widows or widowers or orphans, the wastebaskets overflowing with soda and beer bottles right next to FReepers' computers, the poor job performances, the ashtrays overflowing with butts, and so on.

OK, so, pinochet, you chose to post an thread on obesity. I can't help but notice there aren't too many replies to it. I guess it's cuz there are very few fat FReepers.
