In Pbase, you have to click on the address line and then add JPG to it, otherwise, you will get the red X.

Do not use Properties.

I didn't have to watch any movies with the grandson all day. Yeah! He wanted to play Tic Tac Toe and Go Fish. He is getting so competent at Fish, I started him out with a nickel ante. I've started teaching my granddaughter poker now and she is pretty good. But, she sure hates to part with her own money and secretly begs PaPa for her gambling nickels.

Excrement Power? Museum May Try It

POSTED: 4:05 pm EDT July 16, 2004
UPDATED: 4:17 pm EDT July 16, 2004

LONDON -- A London museum said it was considering taking the waste from its 14 toilet blocks and converting it into electricity.

Reuters reported Friday that Britain's Science Museum is considering siphoning off waste from the toilets and using it to create electricity.

"With free admission it would be a great way for visitors to give something back to the museum and help keep the overheads down," said the museum's head Jon Tucker. "We have almost 3 million visitors each year and have huge electricity bills."

According to Reuters, the power produced from the excrement of 100,000 visitors could produce enough to power 500 light bulbs, while also breaking down harmful organic matter

.....Westy.....

"Good news on the DSL though"

Like I said, I will believe it when I see it. This is without a doubt the most incompetent excuse for a phone company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I am on the verge of a screaming hissy fit. I first called to set up my account 5 weeks ago and they still haven't got it right. My voicemail still doesn't work, my long distance will only work with one area code, the dumb@sses forget to issue the order for the modem while telling me it's on the way, and the worst part is, every time I call to complain, they apologize profusely, put me on hold for 20 minutes, then come back and try and tell me that it's fixed.....and it isn't!

NV, are you still allowed to post on DU? Lawsuit filed against Diebold for Fraud; Proceeds may Fund BlackBox Voting

This was linked from another thread on TheHighRoad.com, a firearms forum, where I post on occasion. The thread at THR relates to the lawsuit, and apparently the DUers are monitoring that thread. Jim March, who started The High Road thread, is a firearms activist, but also is active in the issue of computer voting. That thread is here.

The DU thread has a lot of deleted posts on it, so I'm guess that there might have been some people some people defending Jim March and his lawsuit.
