I don't know what it is - can't ID it from any of my booklets.
There were a few of these bushes growing at the center .. they had long thin horizontal branches with these purpley blossoms on them.
Yesterday the center was having its annual wildflower sale - it was a busy place!

Thanks a bunch for checking, Valerie - I may have to take my first drive over to the 'bird's center...that is a very dramatic specimen.
