What does that have to do with anything? It depends upon the society on what behaviors are considered violations of norms. In the Bible, sons were told not take their brother's wives. However, in the case of the brother's death, said brother was supposed to become the husband of the brother's widow. However, that would be considered pretty bizarre today.

Most societies deem sleeping with dogs, your mom, father, et al significant violations of social norms. Some societies consider drug use immoral and legislate against it, while others allow for personal responsibility. It varies.

Social norms evolve throughout time. Social norms previously dictated that women would not be vocal, nor exhibit any kind of "unladylike" behaviors, and would stay at home. Women now work, frequently exhibit behaviors that would have once been considered unladylike and they aren't made into social pariahs.
