Kerry is innoculted from scrutiny because of the (D) after his name.

Not from scrutiny by us.

This is a new day, isn't it? The Internet Changes Everything.

"kerry did in fact murder civilians in vietnam."

Isn't it amazing how he chose not to report any of these atrocities as Lieutenant & Commander of that Swift Boat, but he certainly found time to document his so-called heroics for medal purposes.

It's easier to say "we" committed atrocities in Vietnam than it is to say "I" committed atrocities in Vietnam, then spend the next thirty years trashing the entire nation over your personal guilt.

I've been asking myself the same question. If he in fact admitting he committed war crimes, then the next question. Is there a statute of limitations on a self confessed War Criminal.

Kerry is a very accomplished BS artist. He's very adept at seeming to say something. Very Clintonesque, indeed.

The republicans have to become articulate enough to describe the web he weaves. He either is a war criminal, or a liar. I think the most important thing about John Kerry is that he's a liar.

It was very easy to succeed in Mass. by spinning a lot of left wing nonsense. And the left wing media loves it,too. But it doesn't sell with most of America IF you explain what Kerry really is all about.

Oh, it would be so sweet to see him have to appear before a General Courts Martial. Can you see him appearing before a group of Generals and Admirals who were Nam vets and they are Kerry's Jury. Hell, I'd buy tickets to sit in the gallery and watch.

If he admits it he's politically dead if he denies it and get's convicted by his own words in history he's politically dead and could face a second courts martial on purgery. So far by his own testimony in '71 in front of General Courts Martial Board he's politically dead.

If he witnessed them and didn't report them, he's an accessory and should be brought up on charges.

This is a non-story! Let's focus on what Bush did (or didn't do) in the Texas Air Guard! (/ sarcasm)

He admitted that he personally committed atrocities on Meet the Press (in 2001, I think). There have been other threads on this in the last few days

Considering how the media is repeating irrelevant accusations against Bush, I'd say there is a two-fold reasons for it:
1. To divert from Kerry's Vietnam misdeeds
2. An indirect way to attack our military, notably the National Guard.

While in command of Swift Boat 44, Kerry and crew operated without prudence in a Free Fire Zone, carelessly firing at targets of opportunity racking up a number of enemy kills and some civilians. His body count included-- a woman, her baby, a 12 year-old boy, an elderly man and several South Vietnamese soldiers.

"It is one of those terrible things, and I'll never forget, ever, the sight of that child," Kerry later said about the dead baby. "But there was nothing that anybody could have done about it. It was the only instance of that happening."

Like a good Democrat he gave hearsay testimony to the Congress. In so doing Kerry smeared everyone who served and made the lives of the POWs worse (if that was possible).

Kerry received the Silver Star for finishing off a wounded, unarmed VC behind a shack.

Kerry said he heard the testimony of 150 veterans confess to various graphic war crimes, in the "Winter Soldier Investigation".

Hence his knowledge: direct testimony from war criminals themselves.

I don't think he has ever answered the charge that the witnesses lied, inventing atrocities for whatever reason.

He himself confessed to inadvertantly killing civilians with his boat's 50 caliber machine gun, or at least commanding a "swift boat" that did same, I think.

We have to be careful because there was another Navy Viet Nam vet who was also a Democrat Senator and awarded the CMH. That man is ex-Senator Robert Kerry from Nebraska. As far as john f***ing kerry goes, as an officer to have witnessed a war crime and not report it is a crime under the UCMJ. As an officer, john f***ing kerry is never really retired. He can be recalled. Since there are no statute of limitations under the UCMJ, john f***ing kerry can be tried for war crimes. At the very least, john f***ing kerry is guilty of dereliction of duty. And the best part of all - no stinking leftist judges like on the 9th Circus to subvert the process.
