Those ancient very advanced civilizations are a fascinating topic in themselves. I didn't realize how much evidence there was for them until a recent book--can't remember the title.

All kinds of things have been exposed in the midst of coal seams 'millions' of years old, supposedly.

MOST CHRISTIANS according to statistics the last several years ARE PENTECOSTAL PROTESTANT.

That's really not true. I think the numbers break down something like: 1 billion Catholics, 300 million Orthodox; 700 million Protestant.

I'm not at all convinced that the more common ET's are angelic.

They seem to be much more demonic in behavior and theology.

If ET turns up at NASA's doorstep bearing that invitation, it is in for a surprise. Instead of getting a handshake from the head of NASA, it will be handcuffed by an FBI agent dressed in a Biosafety Level 4 suit. Instead of sleeping in the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House, the alien will be whisked away to the Department of Agriculture's Animal Disease Center on Plum Island, off the coast of New York's Long Island. Here it will be poked and probed by doctors from the National Institutes of Health. A Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Emergency Search Team (NEST) will tow away its spacecraft.

Yeah, right! Any being capable of interstellar travel will have weapons that would blow us away.

I don't know if the current SETI scheme will ever find anything. Rather than looking for a beacon, we would be more likely to standard communications on another planet. Problem is, any advanced civilization will probably use modulation schemes that would look like noise to us (spread-spectrum, etc.).

Our house is about 60 years old, 5000 square feet, with a two acre yard someone once loved and landscaped beautifully. No one lived in it as vines had grown over everything and it stayed on the market for 4-5 years. Each year the price was reduced. We bought it for a song. Although structurally sound, we remodeled and updated each room over time and returned the yard to its original glory.

When we first moved in and my daughter was 12, she refused to go in one room. She just said it gave her the creeps and still to this day won't go in there. Incidentally, that room had a hook and eye latch on the outside of the door. We could come up with no other reason for such a device except to lock someone IN the room. One day we ran into an old acquaintance, explained to him where we were living, and he said "that house is haunted." He wouldn't give any further explanation. Several times a day I hear something it a wall - a 3 1/2" wall with sheetrock on each side. There's no room for anything in there, yet it sounds like a rotweiller (sp). There's no way that noise is coming from a squirrel or mouse or other small animal. I'll run get my husband and every single time, the noise stops. My daughter hears similar sounds, yet every time, even if we tip-toe and whisper for my husband or son, the men never hear anything. Something's going on, but not enough to make us give up our labor of love.

But I personally don't think The Lord needs technology to come and go or do much else.

We shall see, evidently in our lifetime.
