Nobody thanked us elves!

Fer what? Fer teachin' Sauron "Magic Ring Construction 101"? Fer not destroying the ring when you had the chance? Fer leaving Middle-Earth once the fit hits the shan? And I suppose you think the elves ~really~ showed up at Helm's Deep?

Any WA folks still around, KOMO 4 has an interview with Viggo coming up at 11. Apparently he was in Seattle this week.

Answering "The Hobbit" question

Talk is about distribution problems, not on a lack of desire to do it.

He said he would want to make it part of the Trilogy with Ian McKellan etc so it felt the same.

I heard back around December that he wants to do The Hobbit after he finishes the remake of King Kong he's working on (Peter Jackson "Officially" Wants to produce "The Hobbit". ). Has anyone else heard anything more recent on this?

I don't know. We talked a lot about the recent events. (Some of them I haven't told you) How recently evil has come into our lives and wreaked havoc on us. We hadn't talked so much about it. We cried and got a lot off our chest. It's been weird. I hide my feelings from him so I don't upset him, he hides his from me so he doesn't upset me. We're both kinda getting through the days like good little soldiers, and then the movie sort of broke us both down. We both kinda cried and purged a lot. And hugged a lot. And prayed a lot. then we did sleep well.

well talk at houmoot some more about it.

Just what he said tonight!

It'll happen, they just have to decide on the size of the checks.

Please let me know when the video clip of Moore getting squished is available. Although I could think of worse endings for that POS than squishing.

Worst torture I could think of for him would be Tantalus' fate: an eternity of having food just out of reach :)

Didn't Gimli and Legolas already have this argument? :)

Cool! They should be some big checks!--Hobbit will pull in an even bigger kids' audience than Harry Potter and Star Wars on top of the teen/adult audience from LotR, I reckon.

As far as none of the actors getting nominations, they were never competing with each other to see who was the best actor in LOTR. I think they all gave everything they had, except Elrond, who merely needed to act constipated. Or maybe that was all he had to give.

It really was a team effort, although the commanding officers got individual recognition. When the level of performance by the actors was so uniformly excellent, how do you pick one to be nominated as "the best"? Besides, they had to leave something for the lesser movies out there.

I dunno, I think Elrond did a good job considering how many roles he had to play:
