"until the final scene in the empty tomb"
I was hoping it would not end at the Cross, so I am glad they include this! It is ultimately vital, as if Christ just died on the Cross never to rise, our faith would be in vain.

He didn't include the Ascension, but the empty tomb means the Resurrection.

That is all that really mattered to me, considering Passion stories focus mostly on the Cross.

Looks like there will not be much of a problem finding a theater to see this in. I just called two theater lines, and they both said they will be carrying the film. One is usually a line that does not carry smaller films....they refused to play Gods and Generals because of the small theater size (4 screens). The other theater is a bigger chain, but still refused to carry Gods and Generals. Both will be playing the Passion (though some individual theaters may not in the bigger chain, Dickenson Theaters, the lady on the phone told me).
The fact that they will be playing the Passion of Christ should indicate that most Freepers will not have a big problem finding a theater to see the film in.
Maybe the fact that I am in KS kind of slants this, but it looks promising that this will honestly have a wide release....
But, check with your theaters. If they do not plan to carry the picture, it might be a time to Freep them until they will do so.
