Perhaps, he does not feel very comfortable coming down hard on Bush because he is in agreement with Bush, or he is looking for a "pardon" if he should get himself embroiled in a long drawn out legal battle over whether he "doctor shopped" or not. Which is such a stupid and ludicrous politically motivated charge against him by some democrat hack who wants to make a big name for himself when compared to what Bush is proposing, giving some sort of legality to illegality. I can't believe my President who I support with great vigor is trying to create a "serf class".
I do not expect Rush to be giving his inner thoughts on this issue, or many others as intensely as he has prior to these preposterous allegations, out to his audience. In some respects he will remain a great, knowledgeable and lively commentator, but not really reveal his true concerns and thoughts until he is free from persecution. Hence, IMHO, he spends time on talking about items in his "whacky stacky". Perhaps, he does this to bring humor into the program or divert his audience from the ever increasing important events that will and do affect our lives.
He surely must know we want desperately to talk about them. But, I imagine there is only so much a man can take of this political bs for over 15 years of exceptionally successful talk show hosting. Perhaps his doctors told him to lay off the hard core issues and relax, have fun. Who knows. Although quite frankly, I can get this "whacky stacky stuff" from our local newrag, and the major networks, and his sometimes substitute host, Tom Sullivan on his regular local show.
