Old Toulouse is long gone...Use to be the daughter's cat..They named him after some Frog called Toulouse La Treck or some such spelling....lol.. Then they moved to an apartment that didn't allow pets so the wife and I inherited him....Gave him back to the daughter when I started traveling after retirement...He was a pretty good ole cat overall.....

Meatball recipe
1 pnd of ground lamb
1 pnd of ground pork. ( I use Lamb, pork, beef, and usually a little over 3 pnds. So you can do a pnd of each.)
2 cups of Ricotta cheese ( If you use the kind in the container, you don't have to drain it.)
1-2 eggs beaten
1 cup parmigian cheese (reggiano if you can get it.)
garlic powder
salt and pepper
( also use a good handfull size or more of breadcrumbs)
Olive oil for frying
In a bowl combine meat, cheese, egg, parm cheese, and dry ingreds.
When mixed well shape into balls and lightly dust each ball in flour.
In a large heavy frypan with fairly high sides, fry until browned in hot oil. Remove and add to sauce of choice.
I have a bottle that Lowry's seasoning salt came in and use that to dust them with. It's easier, and I use it for all kinds of flour dusting yobs.. ;).... but that's private..

I think someone wanted this too..
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Boil boneless chicken breasts until tender.. Cool and shred in small pieces. If you like a lot of chicken in the soup, go for it.
In a cuisinart, fresh or canned tomatoes, seasoned chopped, whatever,... chopped green chili's, med onion, garlic, and Jalapeno peppers to taste. I use the sliced ones in the jar. Depending on the amount of soup you want to make and the size of your cuisinart, you might need more than one batch. ( They also sell the cans of tomatoes and chopped green chilis, which are great to add too.)
Cook in a soup pot in a little oil about ten to fifteen mins. Add shredded chicken and enough chicken stock (College Inn, Swansons) to make the amount of soup you want.
While that is melding, slice corn tortillas in thin strips and fry. Place a good amount of tortillas in a soup bowl, cover with hot soup, and add Cheddar, Montery Jack, Scallions and sliced Avacado over the hot soup.
If I left something out.. sue me. I am going from memory..and most of you know what my memory is like.. ;)

I get fed up and cabin fever at times...Today was/is a pretty good day here so I bailed out and went for a 'walk' so called, down at our river. Hobble along for 1/6th of a mile at a time for a 1/2 mile and back. Pretty damn pitiful...lol

To: westmex
Hey, most people over 55 are lucky to be moving even 1/6th of a mile at all.
So you're far ahead of the curve.

Hey, up into my 70s I could do 3 or 4 miles none stop, take a rest and do another 3 or 4....This bad legs came on all of a sudden. One day I could walk good, the next I was hobbling....Oh well.....

Ouch.
Knees?
The missus' grandfather has problematic knees.
He's 89 and sometimes can't move very well.
(Just don't try to convince him of that!)
*chuckle*
What's he do?
He goes out on first day of hunting season and bags himself a huge buck.
As far as knees, had you had a fever recently or anything similar? (Assuming you can remember at all any small seemingly irrelevant detail like that. I know I wouldn't be able to.)

Not the knees.. The arteries in the legs are plugged up, so p*ss poor blood flow to the muscles. They just tire quickly. A little break and I can go again, sort of...My regular Doc sent me to a vascular surgeon, but he said I am to damn old to operate on and put stents in...Also have an anuerism in my aorta...Last ultra sound showed it growing so the surgeon got all excited about operating on it...I said no....If it burst not to bad a way to go..Did go over and got cat scan, it shows things better than ultra sound...The results from it was the anuerism hadn't grown. Darn it.....

That kitty is long dead...I don't have any pets now...
I think, what if I collapse and die here in the house. Could lay there for days before anyone noticed...Poor animal would be like those cats that woman had that had to try to eat her to survive...Not fair to the critters.....
