Yeah. The Panther's side armor was too weak and they had tranmission problems that they never really solved. Early models also were prone to engine fires.
It's still my favorite though.

Twisted music from a shattered mind:
Tori Amos - Caught a Lite Sneeze
Caught a lite sneeze
caught a lite breeze
caught a lightweight lightningseed
boys on my left side
boys on my right side
boys in the middle
and you're not here I need a big loan
from the girl zone
building
tumbling
down
didn't know our love was
so small
couldn't stand at all
Mr St. John just bring your
son
the spire is hot
and my cells can't feed
and you still got that Belle dragging your foots
I'm hiding it well Sister Ernestine
but I still got that Belle
dragging my foots
yes
right on time you get closer
and closer
called my name
but there's no way in
use that fame
rent your wife and kids today
maybe she will
maybe she will
caught a lite sneeze
dreamed a little dream
made my own pretty hate machine
boys on my left side
boys on my right side
boys in the middle and you're not here
boys in their dresses
and you're not here
I need a big loan from the girl zone

I like the original Japanese version of song. I went crazy trying to make out the words. It was like Eddie Vetter from Pearl Jam.

Machine isn't up and running yet.
The Bios recovery kit isn't yet here.
But it is listed as being out for delivery today by it's tracking number.
It's supposedly benig delivered today, while it states it's being delivered tomorrow.
*???*
Oh well..

My first contribution ... one of my favorites :)
" I fight a battle every day
Against discouragement and fear.
Some foe stands always in my way
The path ahead is never clear.
I must forever be on guard
Against the doubts that skulk along.
I get ahead by fighting hard.
But fighting keeps my spirit strong.
I hear the croakings of despair,
The dark predictions of the weak.
I find myself pursued by care,
No matter what the ends I seek.
My victories are small and few.
It matters not how hard I strive.
Each day the fight begins anew.
But fighting keeps my hopes alive.
My dreams are spoiled by circumstance.
My plans are wrecked by fate or luck.
Some hour, perhaps will bring my chance.
But that great hour has never struck.
My progress has been slow and hard.
I've had to climb and crawl and swim.
Fighting for every stubborn yard.
But I have kept in fighting trim.
I have to fight my doubts away
And be on guard against my fears.
The feeble croaking of dismay
Has been familiar through the years.
My dearest plans keep going wrong.
Events combine to thwart my will.
But fighting keeps my spirit strong
And I am undefeated still!"

<P. Of course there's always Snippy's M-1z Bicycle with zero armor.

Well, yes. But it rarely stalls. :) And don't those fenders count as armor?
I'm looking for positives here.

Well imagine my surprise. I'm so glad to see you will be dropping in now and again. feather is very sweet to have a place where she lets us share writings we like and share a bit of our own. It's a good break from our regular work.

All right you two!! LOL. Why is it everytime I see those bicycles I hear that Wizard of Oz music. LOL.
I suppose I should be inspired to write some prose about my bicyclespankengruppes or truppes (now I'm not sure) but I will pull out some "old" prose to share with the Colonel since he is new to the Lair.
For everyone else, forgive the repeat so soon.

Beyond words

I want to write about a love
a love I have for a friend that is beyond measure.
Where do I find the words to describe this love?
I search my soul
and find only feelings I am unable to express with speech
I look to my lips for the words to form
and find only a smile that will not fade when thinking of him.
I listen to my heart
and hear only the sound of serenity in knowing him,
it cannot be written down.
A connection, a bond, a oneness of being that reaches beyond reason and explanation,
yet it is there and it fills me with joy.
A love for a friend ~ beyond words

It doesn't use a lot of gas and it's air transportable. ;-)

Thank you feather. I had to retrieve that from a previous post. I'm just so busy and or tired when I'm not busy.
I know you say it will flow like before but I'm still waiting, it seems to start and stop in spurts.
No lack of inspiration just other 'stuff' in the way. :(

I did spurts for years, there were times I had nothing to say, nothing. I was too busy with a job, raising the last of my children, etc.
When life calms down for you it will come in floods.
