All of those things you have are made necessary by our open border policy. Here is a very long article that is very interesting for those who have the time and worry about our border security.

The Open Borders Lobby and the Nation's Security After 9/11
By William Hawkins and Erin Anderson
FrontPageMagazine.com | January 21, 2004

Forward – by David Horowitz

There are few issues so important to the life of a nation as the integrity of its borders and the nature of its citizenship. These are issues that define its identity and shape its future. When a nation is at war, moreover, its ability to regulate and control its borders is a security matter of paramount importance.

As Hawkins and Anderson show, the open borders campaign was already instrumental in damaging the nation’s ability to defend itself before 9/11. Yet not even this terrible event has caused its activists to have second thoughts, or tempered their reckless attacks. Instead, the open borders lobby has expanded its efforts to eliminate America’s border controls to include the active defense of terrorists and terrorist organizations and a continuing assault on the very policies the federal government has adopted to defend its citizens from terrorist attacks.

The United States has at sea the largest navy in the world and is developing a national missile defense system to frustrate overt military attacks on the country. But the day-to-day security of its borders is a broken system that has been unable to stop small groups of terrorists, let alone a mass migration that outnumbers the largest armies of history. It is estimated that 700,000 illegal immigrants simply walked across the U.S.-Mexican border last year and moved inland without interception by the thinly deployed Border Patrol.[5] The demographic shifts caused by unregulated mass immigration can have adverse impacts on national stability that rival or surpass the effects of war.

Here's Canada again............

Critics fear that legislative gap all but welcomes terrorists and other criminal elements, who are constantly looking for holes in the immigration system. Three of the Sept. 11 hijackers entered the United States as foreign students.

"Most people worldwide would probably be surprised to hear that the Canadian government does not consider it important whether the school for which it issues student authorizations are bona fide educational institutions," reads the newly released memo, which is addressed to senior officials at the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, including Martha Nixon, the assistant deputy minister at the time.

The memo also scolds Ottawa for its "caveat emptor" approach to the problem, which puts the onus on applicants -- not the government -- to find out whether their school of choice is credible.

Obtained under the Access to Information Act, the memo is the latest to suggest Canada's student visa program is wide open to fraud and abuse. In September, the National Post revealed that federal officials in Hong Kong and Beijing sounded warnings about the "unbridled growth" of the so-called visa schools, many of which are linked to organized crime and money laundering operations.

The unsavoury schools present authorities with a two-pronged problem. They rob genuine foreign students of tuition fees, and they allow unwanted visitors, including possible terrorists, to buy documents they know are fake in order to sneak into Canada.

Also, it was suggested that AQ wants to blow up cargo transports LEAVING the US - made me wonder if that might be a method of dispersing WMD of some kind hidden in a package.

A security official at the airport grounded the plane after the pilot refused to file an accident report and said he was preparing to take off again immediately for Egypt.

Things that make you go HUH???

Thanks! I read about the connection with Yasin and Yousef in the book titled "Losing Bin Laden: How Bill Clinton's Failures Unleashed Global Terror". Check it out if you get the chance, quite the eye opener.

Jstolzen- I've also been trying to figure out what they mean and have no clue. I just keep thinking that the "spectacular attacks" will involve nukes and will come from the water.

I bet Tom Clancy has some ideas! Whenever I see that paragraph that you quoted, my first reaction is that they're going to somehow try to attack children.

All I know is that post 2/4, I'm not gonna follow this stuff anymore, as it is no fun being worried constantly about the situation.

Sadly, it's a different world we live in these days. Worrying constantly won't help, so I agree with you. Live life, love your friends and family to the fullest each and every day.

That was my thought too and one of the reasons I didn't post my thought. Further, I thought that if I had the thought then who else had the thought, so I thought I should post the thought. Hopefully, it is just a thought and not to be given much thought.

Jeeez, I have had too much coffee this morning.

You write: "I believe the capture of OBL is directly related to this FoxNews report..."

So, that's where you (singular) get your "intel" reports from. For a moment I thought you (singular) conduct your own intellegence reports or receive your intel from the US government.

But, in two prior posts a few days ago you posted that YOU (singular) personally received reports from "US Government sources in Virginia that US SOF captured Osama bin Laden in Iran today."

So, which is it: do you (singular) receive your reports from the web, like the rest of us, or from the US government source in Virginia? I tend to believe the former.

My suggestion to you is that you better be careful about where you get your supposed "sources" or you may find some gvt alphabet come knocking at your door.

"I'm not talking about the clock at homelandsecurityus.net.

No, not all java scripts prompt before running.

Yes there IS an embedded code in the source for what I'm referring."

Thank God I haven't linked to the site!

At first I thought it was a US federal government site and was almost to go there. Thanks for the warning.

Do you have an axe to grind or are you not comprehending Sean's post (and the FoxNews Report) you referred to?
Your accusations are baseless, something you are accusing Sean's statements regarding the capture of OBL as being.
To wit:
He said, in his opinion, they are related.
He did NOT say that he got his information regarding the capture of OBL from the FoxNews report.
He DID say where his information came from. Take the time to go back and read his posts very, very carefully this time.
The jury is out as to whether he is right or not.

You write: "This is all I will say for the time being."

Will you stop with this nonsense? We're talking about serious stuff here where the lives of thousands of American people may be at risk.

You're just a one-person operation (at most two) who just gets his info from the web and TV nightly news like the rest of us.

Anyone of us could register a federally-sounding web site and lie and say we are receiving "reports from US Government sources in Virginia that US SOF captured Osama bin Laden in Iran today." Most of us, however, don't lie about these things because it's serious and not to be taken lightly, and because we already have a job and a source of income.
