depending on where in this area you were looking, it would be $600k if it were far out, and a desirable suburb closer in, it would be easily $750k.

Builders do that in Bexar county and San Antonio, too, especially KB Homes (who is being sued for building crappy houses). Most of the other counties, having seen how crowded Bexar became have some type of moritorium or acreage restriction on subdividing to attract families tired of the crowding. This county has a 2 1/2 acre limit for each single family residence on all newly platted land.

Haybales stacked inside provide R27 but be careful not to get them wet. Spontaneous combustion is not a good thing.

Yes, I love that joke....... reminds me of the one where little Johnny asks his Dad where he came from.....Dad panics momentarily because he's known this day would come eventually.....so he begins the tortuous process of explaining sex to his young son........ Thirty minutes later a wide eyed boy stares at his father. The Dad says, "Now that I've explained everything, what prompted you to ask me about this?"......the boy replies, "Billy said he is from Detroit and I wanted to know where I was from"..........

Doesn't that have something to do with the septic systems as well? Here in Bucks, a septic system requires a minimum of 1 1/2 acres too........... but houses on city sewer can be built with 3 inches between the houses......lol

CJ lives in Montana.....a winter place is an igloo.....

I don't suppose stray sparks from the fireplace would be very safe either.

The fire place is actually unneeded. The heat generated by decomposition will keep the place a comfy 72 degrees all winter. And the goats can eat it in the spring.

That is happening to some extent in our community, which used to be sort of a summer resort area. I commented to Robert, whose brother lives a couple of roads away from us, about this awhile back. People with the money to do so are buying properties with fishing shacks, trailers and summer shanties on them, knocking down the existing building and putting a big house on it. I suppose the main park road will soon be the only one with that rather charming deserted, semi trashy summer place look to it. I will rather miss that-it has fond memories for me or when I was in high school and college.
My cousin who lives in Richardson told me about what's going on in Highland Park. Crazy......

We used to live in Richardson. Small world! Highland Park has nothing on Turtle Creek and Swiss Avenue.

People up here are so hypocritical......they don't want any more building going on, as if their homes sprung from the ground naturally! lol

Oh, c'mon admit it. ;) Don't you feel the same way? I know I wish they'd stop building here. We bought here because we liked the small town atmosphere.
