Virginia Foxx sounds quite conservative in the article. Perhaps, she's a passable heiress to Richard Burr's House seat.

I heard that the great "principled conservative" Jim Snyder dropped out of the NC-05 race to run for Lt-Gov. Will this move encourage the Liddy Dole haters to vote for Richard Burr?

Virginia Foxx sounds quite conservative in the article. She frequently SOUNDS conservative. But she's pro-gay and is said by many to be relatively liberal in her private views -- or when addressing a more liberal audience.
I think if Jim Snyder is the Lt Gov nominee that will draw a few folks to the polls that would be more hesitant otherwise. If Burr gets his message and record out he'll be fine.

I received a letter from Alan Keyes endorsing Vernon Robinson (whom I was already supporting), and it included a long letter from Robinson himself in which he said, among other things, that Virginia Foxx (whom he didn't refer to by name, but it was unmistakenly her) was very pro-gay and has voted for a gazillion tax increases. NC-05 is a ridiculously Republican district, so there is no reason to nominate someone who does not give us 100% of what we want. Vernon Robinson would be one of the most conservative members of the House, and the fact that he's black will help our party expand its base by encouraging blacks to consider the fact that they agree with the GOP on many if not most issues, including abortion, gay rights, religious freedom and school vouchers. Johnny ,I hope your sources who said that Robinson "cain't win" the primary (because there are too many candidates from Winston-Salem)are wrong. Do you have any updates on the race?

On Foxx's website, she says she opposes gay marriage. But politicans have a way of flip-flopping right after getting elected.
I'm all for Vernon Robinson. He has spoken out in favor of the Boy Scouts and opposed illegal immigration. He could teach the GOP House members on how to be conservative. If we don't rally around GOP minority candidates like Dylan Glenn, Vernon Robinson, and Herman Cain, then perhaps the African-American community is justified in shunning us on election day.

I don't know Virginia Foxx's record so I don't know if she's pro-gay and pro-tax or not.
That said, one common trick is to vote for a final bill, but for all the bad amendments to the bill. That's what democrat Mark Schauer did here so he can say he's 'pro-gun'.
I don't know if North Carolina has a website that shows every vote and every vote on every amendment to the bill or not, but if so, we can find out where she really stands, good or bad, on the issues.
That said, I'd vote for Robinson as well. Not because he's black, but I was impressed with his 2nd Amendment stance and how he outspokenly took a stand on the 2nd amendment while on the Winston-Salem City Council. He also seems like a straight shooter who doesn't always speak in 'politispeak'.

Senator Foxx sounds like a stellar candidate. It's sad that she endured such an awful childhood, but she got through it without bitterness or cynicism. That is not easy to do. I think she'd make a great Congresswoman. However, Vernon Robinson is also first-rate. Conservatives have an embarrassment of riches in this primary.

He's done great raising money, so far.

TROLL So what "ethical" candidate put you up to this? You've attacked Jay Helvey and Vernon Robinson so far, in your first three posts on this forum.
Who are you working for?
